Pikmin may be TINY but it's TOO BIG TO FAIL

FIFTH PILLAR BAYBEE LOOK AT THOSE STATUES

U crzy.

That's huge considering she'll enter her 7th year in march. It would be absolutely perfect if F-Zero GX Remake and a new main Mario/DK were added to the list. Xenoblade DLC and Pokémon DLC are not to forget as they should be a cool amount of content and time to play their own games.

Why are we thinking a Pokemon Direct will be in January? February seems a lot more likely to me. I doubt they announce DLC until S/V is decently patched up.
I believe it’s due to the last time a new gen came out, SwSh, had a Presents in January 2020 to detail Pokémon’s 2020 plan. And with SV being a new gen, TPC could do something in either Jan or Feb

Now that you mention it, wasn't a follow-up to Detective Pikachu announced years ago? What happened to that?

EPD Tokyo 3D Mario game right here, in February Direct. It will happen. The irony that they will announce it in the Direct that will not be hosted by Koizumi.

Pretty sure some info appeared this year, possibly via a LinkedIn profile, that indicated Detective Pikachu for Switch was nearly finished.

When I'm not in 5-Coffees-Today Silly Mood, Detective Pikachu is one of the games I'm guessing will finally surface in 2023.

Proud member of "Nintendo got rid of Directs and will only share info of their games in Twitter/equivalent from now on".

As much as I'd love a direct in January I feel like we would've gotten insider confirmation by now. I'm thinking MP1 gets a Twitter drop announcement.

What if Tears of the Kingdom brings back to the Minish and you control armies of them from an over the top perspective?

Secretly hope the 3D and 2D game is both Donkey Kong to make up for all of that lost time without anything.

Mario fans will get the other 2D game and the Mario film so they'll be fine.

11 Nintendo published titles isn't all that high, so add in some third party/regionally published stuff and some eShop titles and you're there.

Other possibilities are new titles from EPD 8, 9, or 10; something from Good-Feel; maybe an action game from Monolith Soft; maybe an Astral Chain sequel from Platinum. But I feel like most of those are 2024 or later; Good-Feel and EPD 8 and 10 maybe likeliest to release something in 2023.

Anyways I can see a direct in either of the first 3 months. An argument can be made for all of them. If the direct is going to have a big focus on TotK I like February. A direct 3 months before release? Perfect, but I wouldn't doubt Nintendo waiting until March lol. Does Nintendo want one more promotion of FE: Engage? Then obviously mid January makes sense.

Personally I think they'll wait. February direct. TotK blowout and they'll promote Engage with a release date for the first DLC.

The lack of Nintendogs is so depressing. It blows my mind they haven't at least made one for mobile. You're telling me a pikmin game was a better idea than nintendogs? I think not.

i'm going to take a guess and predict scarlet & violet will only have one major expansion and it'll be positioned as nintendo's major holiday release

They did. It's called Oregon.
I've been to Oregon. Can confirm.

Seriously though, I actually came across a tourist trap in the middle of northern California that reminded me heavily of the Mystery Shack. It was in the middle of the woods and there was a ton of tacky signs advertising some weird stuff. I was laughing my ass off as I drove past.

Pikmin 4 will break all records, becoming the first game ever to sell 1 Pikmillion copies. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
no Wario Land
Why must you hurt me so? Only a remastered version of Wario World for the Nintendo Switch family of systems would assuage this pain! * hint, hint, Nintendo *

When I voted February earlier, January was still in the lead. Since then, February has jumped in front.

EMBRACE FEBRUARY. WE ARE INEVITABLE.

did i just teleport back to 2020?
I distinctly remember a lot of doomposting along the lines of "I guess Nintendo is done with the Direct branding" when it was a Mini Partner Showcase in June. Even though they had a proper Direct earlier in the year.

January will be Fire Emblem focused with an Engage Direct, MAYBE Pokemon Presents for SV DLC.

Then February as always with a heavy focus on Zelda and a couple GameCube remakes in F-Zero GX and Metroid Prime. I predict people will be disappointed and the limited announcements will lead to increased speculation of switch 2 that will lead nowhere.

Pokémon presents in 2 weeks with Scarlet/Violet DLC details + reveal of a brand new game(s) + updates in mobile titles.
