I thought the rumor/expectation was a Sony Showcase? I find their SoPs underwhelming, but the full on showcases are usually good.
 
Torn between "Nintendo are just going to announce Fire Emblem and remasters" and "barely any first party announcements for six months means A TIDAL WAVE OF ANNOUNCEMENTS"

State of Plays don't tend to have big earth-shaking first or third-party announcements, so don't expect anything too significant. The main rumor is that we might see Silent Hill 2 Remake there, and we'll probably get another God of War: Ragnarok trailer as well.

I think a showcase is still meant to be happening sometime this year, this is a pre-TGS show to get eyes on the stuff that'll be there I imagine.

  • Game Boy Mini (no, not that Game Boy mini...one like the NES/SNES Mini)
  • Kirby Game and Watch
  • Mario Hoops or Baseball revival
  • Virtual Boy on Switch Online
  • Mario and Luigi revival
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising remake
  • Captain Toad sequel

I just need one or two of these. WW remake is nice, but it is not enough. Even encouraging BotW sequel gameplay footage, while nice, would not be enough. For me, let me be very clear on this. For me.

Get me excited about Switch again, Nintendo. C'mon.

I didnt say it won't be enjoyable, I said Nintendo will dominate discussions, which is not ideal when you make an advertisement live stream like that.

I'm personally interested in how Sony is seemingly focused on japanese games and I'm excited for their show too.
 
I really would like to see a lot of games, but first and foremost, BotW2. The wait has been too long at this point.

Depending on what Nintendo shows tomorrow, you could be right.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re basically done adding things to the base tier. If the base tier does get GB/C alongside Expansion Pack getting GBA, I think that will essentially be the last real addition to that base tier. Its main feature is online play; the retro games library is just a bonus.

So you're telling me I get Broncos MNF tonight, have tomorrow off, and get a General Direct in the morning and a Sony SoP in the afternoon? That's a damn good Monday night/Tuesday.
 
Nintendo is clearly going to going multiplat so they can be included in Sony’s Japanese Third Party show case

Man, if there's nothing about the new hardware tomorrow I hope Nintendo uses the best footage for Zelda instead of Switch version.
Just don't deceive people and avoid specifying the platform if the hardware is indeed Switch 2.
