News Nintendo Direct announced for September 13th (7 AM PT, 10 AM ET, 3 PM BST, 4 PM CEST)

I don’t agree with this. He didn’t say that. He said they heard about the ports being there. He just wasn’t comitting 100% to it.

Also, when Jeff talks he always sounds a little all over the place like he’s trying to cover every ground because he’s worried about backlash lmao
 
Folks they used to air the general directs at NYC store every time. They didn't bring it back in February because Omicron was going crazy. Now the whole world is saying screw it so they're bringing em back. Nothing to see there.

I expect this to be a banger but people are going crazy--there isn't going to be some Sony collab, hardware reveal etc. Why reveal hardware right before Xmas when your OG console is still going strong?

That being said gimme MP REMASTERED!!

Well maybe that's why it's hard to interpet his meeting if he's all over the place trying to cover various viewpoints. :p

My take was that he had heard the ports were coming, and maybe even heard they were coming soon, so he figured the Direct was the most likely place to announce them. But he and Nate both admitted they didn't actually 100% know of any first party announcements in the Direct. That's often how inside info goes - EA and Ubisoft are way leakier than Nintendo

Captain Toad has found a treasure ... the abandoned format of Classic 3D Zelda.
 
To clarify the Zelda stuff on Nate's podcast, Jeff still thinks that the Zelda ports will be in the Direct but he wasn't as sure of it has his colleague Mike. He doesn't know if they are a bundle or separate. He is predicting at least one will be released sometime in the spring. He mentioned that he has heard that BOTW 2 will get a title reveal. Nate predicted that if there is Zelda stuff tomorrow, it will only be BOTW 2.

Yup. Knowing something is coming is different from knowing it will be announced at one specific Direct. I appreciate them both being very clear about what they know for sure and what they simply expect, based on other things they know.

That isn’t really any different than Metroid Prime 1, no? People will think it’s Prime 4 if they don’t clarify.

And no, I don’t think the timing matters. Prime 4 got rebooted and then developed during a pandemic. Nintendo doesn’t need to show anything, they just need to mention it and all will be fine.

Pretty sure they mean the bulk of focus can be expected to be in winter, but there can be some outside on either end as well.

Thank you both for answering. So it’s pretty much a “they probably will be, but there’s a chance they won’t be” lol Well, I’m just going to stay on team they’ll be there at this point. Seems more suggesting still they will than won’t.
