Right?? Just on my calendar alone I've got Rings of Power, Cobra Kai, a Weird Al concert, and Andor. I totally forgot about D23, this is gonna be a nutty month.

Day 1 of weaning off clonazepam, a powerful medication I've been on since 2011. So far I'm okay, just feel a bit twitchy and spaced out.
I'm currently on three differents meds for managing my anxiety and OCD, but they have some bothersome side effects so I am hoping to phase out at least some of them and substitute with CBD oil, which is now legal in my state.

I've heard a lot of really positive testimony about CBD from people with anxiety, and it tends to have less side effects than the strong pills I'm currently taking. I still have to go through the process of getting an assessment and a prescription, but I'm optimistic that this could really improve my quality of life.

In the meantime, gonna try to take it easy and escape to the world of Aionios for a bit to take my mind off things. Gaming is quite honestly as effective as any pill I've ever taken when it comes to reducing anxiety.

Moray towers is one of my favorite maps. The vertical maps are by far the best options versus the standard layouts.

Same! It’s really unique in the series being so vertical and it shines brightly in my favorite mode Tower Control. Also I love jumping off the big tower at the start.

Did you know there’s a colony sim about beavers called Timberborn? It’s amazing.

What I want? Another installment of Impossible Creatures. Let me take over the world with my mix-and-match marvels of biology.
 
Moray Towers is the only Splatoon map I ever got really comfortable with for some reason
 
Question 1: Smash Melee. Played this for hours in college and was some fo the best fun I’ve ever had with tournaments (would also do pinochle tournaments interspersed with Smash). Second would be goldeneye with all my junior high friends.

Question 2: I studied vector biology in grad school so let’s do a game where you are the parasite or virus trying to invade the body. A sim game makes the most sense, but I would prefer something more like Bowser’s inside story. Probably would never happen for obvious reasons.
 
When you walk into a new and possibly extremely dangerous dungeon and think about bailing, but then dat bass kicks in...

I remember one of those with Parappa the Rapper which was really silly. The first time someone edited it in for the turtle to say Cowabummer was probably my favorite though lol.
 
Wooh great new thread with two great games in the title!!

I'm sooo stoked for Splatoon 3, but in answer to the poll, it just couldnt win against the sheer amount of jrpgs I've come to love and play. 🥺

Speaking of jrpg, I am almost done with XB3, and I don't want it to end dammit!! (but I also do bc I've already spent 85+ hrs on it, which is the longest I've spent on a jrpg now that I think about it!)

Nothing has been decided yet, but typically there is a break of some sorts. The last one was four days. There definitely will be a discussion for what’s next following the Direct.
 
really hard being such a big fan of both Scrimblo Bimblos and JRPG McSwordguys

but super cool how I get Splatoon 3 so close to my bday and hopefully a direct not soon after

and that’s not like a stretch goal or anything, I’m practically done. there’s about ~50 left to background knockout and add a pop of color to but that part goes quick

Can't pick one specific episode, but I'd say Mario Party in general, you always have a good time with those. So many memories with the series, whether it's playing Mario Party DS with some friends in class during high school, or nowadays when I visit my parents and change my Apple Watch face to a pic of Wario so I can tell my sister "look, IT'S WARIO TIME" when I steal her a star (she almost always beat me in the end though lol)

I'd absolutely buy the collector edition of a turn-based J-RPG where you play a group of dogs trying to survive in a huge city like New York or Tokyo. Or really, any type of game that let you play as a dog

I just had a dream where I was driving around town and Richard Karn, TV's Al Borland from Home Improvement, was out walking his kids around all decked out in Halloween pumpkin costumes. I stopped to say hi (like I knew him), and his family wanted to go home so I offered to help him at the gas station during some big event that night, so I went with him downtown along with Tim Allen and his kids (who were actually his tv kids for some reason: Zachary Ty Brian, JTT, and the third one) where there was this big.. it was like a Christmas-style celebration except for Halloween? And as we were going I started running to catch a traffic light before it went red, and Zachary Ty Brian started running to catch me, but I was really fuckin fast so I put up a good race, and we ended up out of downtown back in the residential homes where some people were mad at us for running so they started coming after us, cornered us in an alley, and then part of the cast of New Girl came out and beat me up.

...anyway I'm going back to sleep.
