I’ve always thought Peer had to be or at least one of the most connected people in the industry. Peer is pretty serious with it. He says it’s next week. He talks about Nintendo doing a game specific direct like for Xenoblade 3 is normal.

 
Someone made a point that Nintendo's 2 main rpgs, XC and FE, have gotten darker stories in recent entries. 3 houses had no "happy" ending and now XC3 is gonna have child soldiers dealing with ptsd from war.

The next FE will probably be a revenge story of a lord taking their throne back or something

There is no happier ending possible then serving my Queen Edelgard in her just battle up until the very end.

I think we will have an announcement on Tuesday, if the direct is on the 29th at the usual time.
If it’s the 28th at usual time/the 29th at E3 time then it will be on Monday.

The only chance to have it announced today it will be if it is the 28th at E3-time (less than 5% of probability imho)

I know some people with connections on the DK Vine forums sort of laid out was was going on with the DK IP: how there was a game in development at a third party studio, but Nintendo didn't like how it was panning out so they scrapped it. This was supposedly around 2017. Nintendo would then supposedly go on to start work on a new DK in house, porting DKC:TF to Switch and giving Ubisoft Milan the OK to add a Donkey Kong campaign to Mario+Rabbids in order to bridge the gap between new DK releases.

Nintendo Life also said they'd heard about the game from 'an independent (and very trusted) source.
 
Had a dream where a Direct was just 20 seconds long, with red screen from Switch logo staying for long after the logo vanishes as Mr Sarutn waddles in. Letters "MOTHER 4" appear behind him, and the tagline from Itoi is "I guess I lied, sorry"
This was the first time I cried in a dream.

One of the thing that actually gets me really confident for a general Direct is the pokemon regions countdown. The fact the 29 would be gen9 region and we don't know the name as of now...

1. After having played Super metroid for the first time on NSO and blazed through Metroid Dread in no time, I am hooked. Gimme more samus aran goodness. I must yet experience the glory of a 3d metroid.


Also I don't see any reason for a general direct not happening on Wednesday. Annoucement Monday. I even planned a little celebration GIF for the occasion.

This month has been a crazy wait. I lost my job and my dog in May, and my efforts to find new consistent work has been unsuccessful thus far.

Losing your dog is not a silly feeling and you are certainly not a loser for feeling lost in the aftermath. It’s devastating and sobering and something my wife and I have been dreading since we first rescued and fell in love with our little girl almost 3 years ago. I wish you safe passage through the loss. Your little friend lived a wonderful life because it had you, no matter how long.

What are you talking about? I love timed puzzles where the correct answer can sometimes feels arbitrary and you get punished for experiementing. 🙃

Yeah the timer element was an absolute mistake. You end up being double punished for making a mistake as mistakes often give you a negative TIIME penalty which loses even more time. Like I would kind of get it if the branching paths were based upon how successful you were in each Psych, but often the branches are just "which of the two objects do you interact with first".

I don’t agree, I LOVED the puzzle sequences of that game.

(I’m here waiting for the second game to be available on steam rn)

Do you think Nintendo wants the direct before or after the meeting?
If they want it before then it will be on the 28/29 (29 at midnight in Europe).

Kinda makes me think he's not just guessing, because if he were he wouldn't name a studio that just released something :p .

Dread was the first Metroid game I played, but I've heard so many glowing things about Prime that if it shows up I'll be hyped. BotW2 alone would make it for me, so if both show up it'll rival E3 2019 just like that.

Also more Mario Kart Booster Pass: yes please!

Well yeah, that's standard, isn't it? Pre-production for the next title usually begins before the current one releases, then a smaller team stays on to work on the DLC while the bulk eventually move on to the new title as it enters full production. I meant if they had two of those operations going.

Yeah, there's a ton of people now who have actively said they've heard it's next week. The continued panic in here has always been so weird to me.
 
One of NLG's studio directors and LM2/3 director Bryce Holliday is only credited for "Additional Work - Design" for Battle League. That might indicate that he's been busy on another project since LM3, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's releasing soon.
