I've caught Covid for the first time and I feel absolutely dreadful. I started Bit Orchard last night and have been playing it a lot today. At first it seemed like it was going to be quite shallow but the game does start to open up. It's got a satisfying gameplay loop and cost less than £2 on introductory sale on the eShop. Nice simple game that doesn't require much thinking while your head and body recovers.

The only annoying quirk is that the left anologue stick is required for movement, so I am using my 8bitdo Pro 2 with left stick and D-pad swapped.

Looking through the Era thread on the world of Xenoblade X.... fuck, I want this game on Switch yesterday. What an absolute banger of a game.

I’m only hoping that, assuming 3 is the end of the main story, they’ll return to X with a rerelease and maybe a sequel next.

No joke, a friend of mine was gushing about how amazing Tesla is and that she wanted one when she can afford it because she went to a dealership and received the promo spiel from the Tesla rep who made the company and their cars sound omg so amazing and in response I spent like fifteen minutes going off about the laundry list of unscrupulous practices and all the build quality issues that plague them and how publications that have pointed those out have been sued by Elon in retaliation and yadda yadda yadda she doesn't like Tesla anymore.

Also people still moaning about Super Mario Sunshine? It's 2022 ffs. Moaning about Super Mario Sunshine sounds like moaning about toon Link when Wind Waker was revealed. Times have changed and Super Mario Sunshine is awesome, live with it.

I also hope Nintendo will announce a Super Mario Sunshine 2, FLUDD included. Just to annoy the so-called fans.

I look at profile pics before the username so I was just completely confused when Wario avatars took over the site.
 
I watched a video yesterday about how Kiryu would play if he was in Smash and the video was good, very in-depth on how his combat abilities would translate to Smash. But also I feel like instead of it being like "b button is tiger drop, b up is jump kick" or whatever, a REALLY accurate Kiryu moveset would be like, "b button is karaoke. b down is summon bike to swing around. side b would be slot cars. up b would be fishing rod."
 
Random question. If I save a draft for a thread is there a way to find that? I started OT 8 but can’t seem to find a place where I can access it. Luckily I have all my stuff saved elsewhere so can restart easy enough.

I’m honestly curious if younger folks will like Hayate. I feel like a lot of its humor is topical for the 90s/early 2000s.

Still inching along GAA, the case on the boat where Naruhodo was framed for Kazuma’s death really made me and my girlfriend sad. Herlock is also amazing.
