Yeah, even ignoring that Brain Training didn't release in NA, Brain vs Brain has been outpacing it in other territories.

It was a million seller worldwide in just a month.

I expected Big Brain to do well, but beating Forza Horizon and Grand Theft freaking Auto is no small feat. I wonder how high the ceiling is? 5 million might be too high, but maybe 4?

Boreal Tenebrae, an indie horror adventure game with PS1 style visuals, is just £1.79 at launch. I'd been keeping an eye on it because it seemed promising, so the large discount for the first month (£5.99 full price) makes it very tempting, even without many write ups on the game.

I'll celebrate this by booting up the Nintendo Switch Online Super Nintendo app on my Nintendo Switch hybrid gaming system and play my favourite Super Nintendo game Super Mario RPG- oh

I actually don't care for the game that much, besides the soundtrack
Play Super Metroid instead and earn yourself a cool 50 Platinum Points 😎

Maybe we'll see Nintendo do some region specific DLC:

BRIT BRAIN ACADEMY

Huff tea, complain about the weather, slavishly follow the activities of an unelected head of state, alienate your neighbours, deny the horrors of empire and carefully place beans on toast in this set of new activities for Big Brain Academy.

Life is really exhausting right now and I finished Elden Ring two weeks ago and really miss the distraction.

I look for a game with gameplay focus (bit of story is ok but not to much cutscenes and dialogue). Could be an action rpg or Zelda like or metroidvania/souls like.

Do you guys have any hidden gems in switch in mind that fit this discription?

I for example loved hollow Knight, monster hunter rise, dark Souls and many more.

Some games on my list right now are:

-Eldest Souls
-Unsighted
-Children of Morta (because its on sale)
-Morbid: The Seven Acolytes (also because of the sale)

Oh no!
This holidays we must get the new Donkey Kong game, it´s his last chance!

i know........ i know that our present donkey kong is not the original Jump-man kong....i just want a new game after Donkey kong Tropical Freeze .....

I need music to work/write to

so

name your more or less obscure gaming/movie/anime soundtracks
Might I suggest

And while I wouldn't call SimCity "obscure" the OSTs rarely ever come up in discussion despite Maxis turning out some solid origina; work while Jerry Martin was at the helm of their music department:

Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness for that 90s era gothic rock beat we all crave

Personal favorite:

Sierra soundtracks are legit good and super underappreciated considering PC sound cards were just starting to come onto the market at the time the SCI engine in development. If you can find recordings from the MT-32 synthisizer they're significantly better than the general MIDI versions.

brits be like "oy guvnah wots the diffrence? i betta send a letter to the duke to ask for clarification before east enders comes on!!!"

You know what? I’m a-ok with nothing major releasing in May. I’m still working on Kirby, I need to go back to the MK8 DLC, then finish up Octopath’s post-game, then finish up Bloodstained, then pick Neo TWEWY back up.

Then and only then can I really think of picking something up something else from the backlog.

Oh right Switch Sports in 3 weeks 😭

I aim to please 😂

Does Nintendo usually have sales on the eshop for Easter? I can’t remember if they have ever had one but I’m hoping they will
They had a "Spring sale" two years ago iirc but I don't think they do an Easter sale like they do during the holidays

outing myself as a rian/nathan johnson fanboy for not finding this very obscure
look

I can spend all day tearing (most of) his movies apart for weak tropes, inherent manic pixie bullshit, and bad takeaways

but also I absolutely love his fucking execution and sense of filmmaking (and Nathan’s fucking musical range) to the point that some of those movies have a real place in my heart despite that

though personally I think Knives Out only slapped so thank the abyss for that one

Getter Robo Daikessen has a legit jazzy/rock soundtrack for an obscure PS1 Japan only srpg licensed game with all original music(it also included every piece of getter material to that point and created a few new things that pop up to this day in Super Robot Wars)
Here’s a playlist of the full OST
Especially the full opening and ending themes

Impressive collection! I'm still buying the Smash and Zelda amiibo when ever they release..

I have them all but one - Corrin Player 2 - so I'm probably never going to get that collection complete as I dont want to pay the outrageous amount of money it takes to get :<
Thanks! And aww, that sucks. Yeah, the Amazon exclusives were the worst to get and if you missed them they go for ridiculous prices from resellers, especially Corrin - Player 2… =/

Double dip, yeah :) I'm excited to get completely soaked up in Ashitaba City and the gang once again <3

Same here. I'm happy to support Vanillaware with another purchase here. It's a special game, and I want to do my part to send the message that we want more of their work on Switch in the future.

I already tried the Japanese demo a month or two ago, and I was pleased with the quality of the port. It looks especially great on my Switch OLED.
