Konami is looking to get back into console gaming, but by console gaming we specifically mean AAA games(mostly Metal Gear Solid). Those games they made in the last few years on Switch don't count.

It's sad that through the lens of some MGS is the visible Konami IP and it's pretty obvious why. Meanwhile they been making bank the last few years as demonstrated in their financial reports.

There is something to be said about the idea that Konami is more willing to invest in higher budgeted projects again, although I doubt they'll do a full AAA production any time soon.

there are some characters in very very obvious "old people" makeup who are totally going somehow get younger.

I have two episodes left. Episodes 3 onward have been pretty terrific, though the logic behind one character's actions bugs the hell out of me and I really hope it's addressed by the end of the show

Not saying they won't make it either, but things like Reacts, Signatures, Custom tags etc seem to all be on by default and that might not necessarily be what we end up going with

and signatures (not that I can see them on mobile) feel like a slip-n-slide to ye olde days

but I hope I get to keep some kind of shitpost abyss signifier

Metroidvanias scratch a similar itch as Metroid for sure, but they're slower and more focused on stat growth. I think this collection is definitely worth a try.
