So I'm watching the new season of Cobra Kai and there's a new character who's bonding with a girl from his school over a Minecraft clone while scarfing pizza rolls. She asks him at one point what he likes to do and he says "Draw anime."

I mean... I know this reeks of writers going "How do you do, fellow kids?" but at the same time the montage feels so painfully 80s that I think.. I think they managed to take an 80s movie trope and actually modernize it. Sure the result is painful to watch but what else would you expect an amalgamation of the 80s and the now to be?

God this show is weird.

I picked up Odyssey at one point while it was on sale, and now it stares at me, judging. I have yet to get a Switch; I could actually do that now, but having reached that point and determined I probably won't be able to find any potential new hardware if it were to release any anytime soon (a consideration if I were to jump into actually getting the console this late), I seem unable to find a console whenever I look. Heh.
I'll get to it eventually.
And also make sure to pick up 3D World + Bowser's Fury at some point, though I'm reasonably sure that'll still be available later too..

We're kinda in a holding pattern atm since it's the holidays, so mostly just shitposting atm. But we're getting a Direct Speculation thread soon and the next edition of this thread!

Splatoon always gets its own game-focused direct closer to release where they announce global testfire. Probably around May-ish depending on what the official release date is
