Your normal switch fits in your pocket? I mean mine does but only if I remove the joycons and like put the tablet part in one pocket and the joycons in my other pocket xD

My normal Switch fully assembled and in its case fits in my pocket.
It's a tight squeeze in the case and it does stick out but at least I don't need to carry it like a clutch.

OK so there was the original manga series, which ran its course and ended. They did Nisei (Gen 2) which was about Kinnikuman’s son (this was Ultimate Muscle). Nisei had it’s run in the early 00’s. Then in 2011 they said “f this we’re going back to the OG” and just picked Kinnikuman (the first one) where they left off. That picking-up of where they left off is where the new anime is starting.

Yes except in this case it was the original team who decided to make GT(and you could infer the time shenanigans in the final arc triggered the new continuation timeline). Cept it was more TNG than GT. Suguru ain’t beating anyone or usurping his son looking like this

There were also some one shots and a spinoff series about Ramenman that’s basically an in universe alternate telling of his past(as in it actually exists as a manga/show in universe).
Big reason the continuation happened is because the original cast was still more popular and demanded than the Nisei/ultimate muscle one(tho the manga ran way longer than the anime)
 
I completely forgot that Rise of the Ronin is out this week. I hope it captures some of that Nioh combat vibe even if the structure is different

They had BotW Zelda as a profile pic, and I had to call them out on it, saying that Zelda is about individuals of various cultural backgrounds coming together to fight evil, which is in stark opposition to their values. So why the hell have that profile pic? What followed was an utterly bizarre conversation where multiple actual right-wingers jumped in and started to dogpile me with comparing the blood moon to George Soros and that Tarrey Town is “different because it relies on heavily selective workforce immigration” and then I just said that they were being ridiculous to make these comparisons and was missing the actual crux of my point. I noped out of the conversation but eventually the fake grifter account removed the profile pic.

Sadly this isn't weird to me because I grew up with a family that's like this, with friends are like this, in an area full of people like this. And I can't tell you how much I hate that this is not only not weird to me, but it's what I've come to expect from people. 😅

Maybe like what they did for Golgo 13, where they translate (and heavily edit) a “greatest hits” type series?

Oh and since I didn’t respond to this; yeah greatest hits could work, especially if it focuses on just the one shots and the tournament arcs, plus the training with Kamehameha. Those wouldn’t be too hard to clean up for the most part. It was the random side adventures inbetween that had the biggest issues

I know One-Winged Angel is the big final boss theme that everyone thinks of when FFVII comes up but like goddamn the Jenova theme is so good

I think it can be interesting to browse through the files on old game discs, and with programs like Snap2HTML it's possible to share most of this without actually sharing copyrighted data. Here's a directory where I've put a few examples for PS1, GCN, and Wii. Is there anyplace good to put this kind of stuff? I'm not against just doing this as I feel like it and keeping an index updated, but realistically almost nobody would ever run across it. There are sites for specific things from games like Spriters Resource, but this isn't that. There are places like The Cutting Room Floor that sometimes look at such data found on discs, but with the intent of showing off things that didn't end up part of the main game. MobyGames shares a lot of data about games, but not to this level.

Seems if I don't have mail on a particular day, I don't get any packages I was supposed to receive, even if they are out for delivery. It's bizarre.

That's honestly not too shocking. Folk are really bad at media literacy. I know folk who think Luffy is awesome for punching people like the World Nobles and for fighting for what he thinks is right...and then turn around and hate & look down on the most marginalized folk out there. Boggles the mind

It was the Distant Worlds performance of Dancing Mad that helped me come to my conclusion so 🤷

It's like a miniaturized four-movement symphony in one song. It's so complex and satisfying for being a piece of SNES music, it's nutty how good it is. One Winged Angel is iconic for sure but Dancing Mad leaves me out of breath.
 
That moment you realize it's almost been a year since the last Genesis batch of games on NSO 🙃

Dancing Mad is great! For really underrated ones, The Extreme from FF8 is very good. I also love Dark Messenger from 9 and Howl of the Departed from Lost Odyssey which totally counts.
