The manner in which she's stylized consists of a blue, skintight, full body suit, and I've just never been big on the aesthetic, personally. "Barbie-esque" is fairly pejorative, but that's essentially what I'm aiming to convey (even though Barbie never wore anything like the Zero Suit, to my knowledge, ha). It's a design that feels as though sex appeal was a main driving factor behind its creation, when Samus's sexuality is highly irrelevant to her character (none of the games have a romance angle, and she's not a femme fatale in the way Ada Wong is, for example). Prior to Zero Mission, the blue suit just wasn't a thing, and I'm not super big on the fact that it's become the "definitive" look for Samus, when depicting her outside of the Power Suit.
If all that seems tangential, and you're simply referring to her face and hair (considering that's all we see in Prime itself): I wouldn't say ZM / MP3 / Brawl Samus is anywhere near an egregious look or anything (we even got a variation of it in Dread), but I think a slightly more world-weary look is appropriate for the warrior character Samus is. When placed side-by-side with the Brawl Samus you posted, Prime Remastered makes her appear a little older, a bit more experienced, more dutiful, more sorrowful, even. It helps that it's also just a far more detailed model, haha.
