SAO Last Recolection rated for Switch on Australia

Everyone's busy with shitting on Arkham Knight right now but this is a true contender for the worst port on Switch. Alicization Lycoris was one of the worst ports on the system and this more demanding entry looks like it's gonna surpass that.

Just give the series back to Dimps, Namco.

Doctre81 had turned up proof of ports for currents Gen (PS5, Xbox Series), but I don't think an OG Switch port was rumored.
Is ir? It's not shared on this thread to confirm it though. I'm surprised that Doctre cares for this game, apparently it's not a good one.

And it seems to be a mobile game, I don't think we need proof for a Switch version.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One referenced for Switch on their official social networks

Oooh, this is very interesting, since they have denied multiple times to be working on a Switch version of this game.

It would make sense for them to put in the effort to make it happen, though, since The Awakened is on Switch and is a direct sequel to this one, not to mention that apparently the Sherlock Holmes games they already ported to the system have sold well.

Kingdom Come deliverance for Switch listed to release on march 2024 by different stores (a spanish and a russian store)

Little reminder, CoD from 2024 to ahead should be release on Switch or Switch 2 by contract

On my IP missing in the switch I care about. It’s been hard without it. I will purchase the next switch based on this.

you weren't gonna buy Switch 2 before this? 🤔
Honestly probably not. It’s a third party game I want that should have been on the original switch. I only play 1-3 games a year. It’s a BIG deal for me.

Oh this is nice.
Blops 2 was the last cod I played. It’ll be nice to to have a direct sequel for my next switch 😊
Edit: Remaster Blops 2 for switch you weirdos!

GTAV port for Switch found on the leaked source code

We know from the insiders that they considered a port but I'm surprised that it's in the leaks as it's supposed to have never passed the concept stage.

Edit: oh shit this appears to be something new! Maybe?

There was only one line of code in the leak that mentions NX, or Nintendo Switch as far as I'm aware and the codes as fresh as a year ago. I'd place my bets on this being as far as they got.

(My own uneducated guess: The code could be in ref to Social Club connections(required for GTA Online), considering they use "NX64" which as far as I could see is used for the Switch's hidden Browser Applet. Couldn't find anything else on it's useage so I'd love if someone with more knowledge would step in.)

There are 100% more Rockstar games coming to Switch next year, multiple ones. My guess was GTA4 and Midnight Club but they still can release a vanilla version of GTA5 without the online part, which was the problematic part of the game.

I don't doubt it at all I just personally think that GTA 5 didn't get too far at that point. Things can change as they've proven with Red Dead getting ported afterall

Agreed. A lot of people have said in the past that without the online portion a Switch port wouldn't make sense, but I say that even without that content GTA5 on Switch would be a guaranteed multi million seller, so it certainly would be worth it to Rockstar and T2.

Yes, looks like a new thing

Any idea about rumoured price points for Switch 2? I got a hefty amount of gift card money for Christmas so…
As far as I'm aware, we don't know anything substantial about pricing yet and, if it is anything like with the original Switch, we won't know until Nintendo themselves announce it.

(by all means someone correct me if I'm wrong)

This thread is only about rumors from legitimate sources and leaks and so far only Switch 2 related such rumor we had has been the Eurogamer/VGC Gamescom demo. That's it. Considering how though the Nintendo NDA's are, we won't hear about the price until Nintendo officially reveals it.

Oh oh ohhoohoho, seeing this much Rockstar content going to Nintendo platforms is pretty funny to see. I mean, in the first years we got L.A. Noire, but in 2021 we got the GTA Trilogy, and this year RDR, and presumebly next year GTA V. Would I be playing GTA V on Switch, no, not really. I barely play it on my PC, but I got to admit that playing the game on the go has a nice ring to it.

Seeing this user from where Universo Nintendo got it from, where they are saying that GTA V, GTA VI and RDR2 are coming to Switch 2 aswell, makes me want to believe it, but aren't sure. That said, Although Rockstar or T2 said GTA VI were going to PS5 and XSX/S, the trailer didn't mention any console, so perhaps it can come to Switch 2 aswell, since they couldn't show all console icons on it.

And also the fact that Rockstar puts more ''effort'' in giving Nintendo more of their library, makes me think they also are developing games for the next system.

Here's hoping for CJ to be in next Smash aswell, laughs maniacly

As unrealistic as many would find it, I want to believe. Everything Rockstar has put on Switch has performed well, so they have no reason to stop. In the past we heard things like "Oh, but there's no fanbase for these games on Nintendo" or "These types of games don't sell on Nintendo systems". Well, that's not the case anymore; sky's the limit.

Rockstar is sitting on a gold mine with the Switch (and its successor); it's up to them and T2 to take advantage of the opportunity.

Well, even what if the Switch 2 isn't as powerful as Xbox or Playstation, a handheld modern GTA would certainly be a goldmine next to the powerhouse versions of the PS and Xbox that is. It's a different kind goldmine, but it is one.

Leak is about Switch 1 though, GTA5 is supposed to be coming to the current Switch. The successor could have a performance patch on that. There should be more Rockstar games coming to Switch 1 next year, GTA4-5 could be them.

There should be around a year before the successor launches, I don't think ANY third party game for it can be leaked in any way, the whole system should be under a very strict NDA. The strictest NDA in the business.

The issue of Switch 2 is quite strict regarding what the console is like and the first party games in development.

But when it comes to third-party games, it is less strict, there is information circulating. Of course, those who have sources are not going to air information until the console is officially confirmed.

I certainly hope that’s true, it would just be surprising to me to see Rockstar release so much in such a short period of time. RDR1 this year, potentially RDR2 next year, and GTA(s) as well? That seems uncharacteristic, granted these are just rereleases/ports.

That wouldn't be surprising at all, Take Two literally released Borderlands 3 just 1.5 months after RDR1 on Switch. Doesn't sound like they care much about scheduling.

Sounds less like GTAV is still coming to Switch, and more that it was cancelled, or even possibly never in full development

Also no chance they only port the single player, can't sell shark cards that way

No need for pessimism, there ARE Rockstar games coming to Switch next year, we know that part. Any bet is as good as the other, and now we have a small hint of what one of them could be.

And yes, they COULD port single player only, look how RDR1 is selling on Switch 1 without the multiplayer mode at $50. That's no issue for them clearly, they'll make tons of money on the game alone anyway.

But for Rockstar in particular, I think it’s possible they deliberately avoid oversaturating the market with Rockstar releases (even ports/remasters) so as not to dilute the ‘occasion’ when one does happen.

I just can’t see 3-4 Rockstar releases happening within a ~12 month period for that reason.

RDR1’s multiplayer is of a completely different nature than GTAO or RDO. RDR1’s had no moneymaking component to it.

It's 2017 again!

I'll believe when there's a gameplay trailer on Nintendo's Youtube lol.
For what it’s worth to try and extend the OG switch life they need a game like this until switch 2 is announced.

Another possibility is that Switch 2 is announced in january, and GTA V is announced for both systems afterward. But like that Switch version comes first, because Switch 2 comes later on.

According to NateDrake from the other forum, a new BANJO-KAZOOIE have been greenlit by Microsoft.

Not much of a Switch rumor if it's Microsoft is it? Should probably just make a thread for this leak specifically.

I don't think this will ever be for any Nintendo platform, Microsoft hasn't changed their stance on game exclusivity. Yet. Lots of uncertainty in that area.
