I was curious was the general public opinion on Castlevania Nocturne was, since the first show was really popular, So I went to Rotten Tomatoes and both series are loved by critics but the audience score was a massive drop for Nocturne. Well I wished I did not go thought that rabbit hole lol.

As soon as you saw a black character in the trailer, you know the audience score was going to be useless.

really enjoyed the first series (with some light caveats, mostly about poor choices in season 3 and the creator being a shitbag) and have really enjoyed Nocturne so far too
 
i just wanted to come into this thread with a sappy message telling folks I love them and now all I see are PURPLE DUDES

Really? That's interesting. I really did enjoy Nocturne but the only thing that made it a bit less interesting for me (its still super early) was the antagonist. Hoping season 2 makes up for that.

Yeah, there's not really a lot to Erszebet/Sekhmet right now. That said, the season was carried by Drolta (RIP Vampire Queen of Drip) and Olrox, possibly the best character in the show so far.

Oh for sure, Whatsherface Bathory is decidedly a non-compelling villain. However I thought the animation was significantly more polished. The story felt less meandering, the dialogue was tighter, the writing better.

Olrox fucking rules no question

yeah the main difference for me is that nothing super sympathetic or even especially sensical has been set up about the main (?) antagonist yet

which, I mean, will never compete with fucking Vlad Dracula “I’m Killing My Boy” Tepes

was intrigued to see how Richter worked out but I’m a fan, dude carries the major thembo vibes of all Belmonts to date and has some killer moments

especially the skill issue dunk

I'm mildly concerned that by the time my avatar bet expires, the novelty of WOHOYs will wear off and I won't be able to wear a cursed Hisuian Growohoylithe when everyone else has moved on 🥲
 
does anyone know if there's a thread on here where when you go in it you have to look at long purple animals/freaks/spirits? even if you don't want to see them? if not i'll make one. thanks in advance

Other day I was thinking about the Cloud games available on Switch...

Hypothetically, for the next hardware, if companies like Square, Ubisoft, Capcom, decided to sell actual native versions of the games they already have as Cloud options on our current Switch.. do you think they'd offer some kind of upgrade option? After all, the Cloud versions on Switch usually cost the same price as native versions elsewhere...

If you "own" Resident Evil 2 Remake Cloud on Switch, being able to just access a digital native version on the next system like backwards compatibility.
 
Time really is a flat circle.

It feels like just yesterday this was horse central until someone said "please no." And now it is...uh...whatever the heck that thing is central and someone is saying "please no."

Yeah, I'm half expecting a tragic backstory for the villain or she just gets deaded and replaced fairly quickly

I was not convinced when I saw Prichter's VA, I'd only seen him in killing eve and sex education before, both pretty slimy characters but I think he's crushing it. Great mix of petulant and proficient.
