Weirdness surrounding RE: Revelations 3 - Outrage 1.537 {A Fragmentary Dropkick} for the Nintendo Switch Definitive Edition' aside, the weirdest thing about the upcoming Game Awards so far is...the lack of rumours in general? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only rumoured thing so far is the Chrono Cross remaster / remake of all things.
Agreed with you, everything has been calm so far.

I am expecting things to ramp up this week tho. Publishers/Geoff will probably start to tease/announce some things.

I think it's more the idea of being upset that it'll be the only reveal at TGA. I mean, like @Derachi said earlier, Geoff is a swell guy, passionate about his work and the industry as a whole, wants support from all three big players and he wouldn't want another Cranky Kong reveal/corresponding reaction...but, this is Nintendo we're talking about.

Pessimism as a general baseline response when it comes to expecting anything of Nintendo shields the pain a little; you're either right or pleasantly surprised.
That I can relate to, I have to admit I’ve been expecting something bigger like BotW2 or Metroid Prime Remaster, but Nintendo hasn’t had such big reveals at this venue for a while now… Disappointment incoming I guess.

My only prediction for TGA is Chrono Cross remaster, will be genuinely surprised if it doesn't get revealed there at this point

What I remember hearing about that leaked email was that it was referring to Outrage stuff (costumes/enemies/characters?) coming to their GAAS multiplayer RE, RE: Verse (I think that's the one?). RE Outrage itself was supposedly indeed RE Revelations 3.
You're conflating the email with a separate internal plan for Re:Verse that included cross promotion with whatever Outrage is

Happy Hannukah friends who celebrate it. Day late, but I got my hands on a Menorah! They were surprisingly hard to find around here.
And to you too!

Anyone have any tips for good latkes? Mine always come out either burnt or soggy.

Could be, yeah. The whole thing is a confusing mess.

Here's a good summary of the rumors so far for the people interested : https://biohazardcast.com/resident-evil-outrage-might-just-be-outrageous/
Never read that article, interesting stuff about that 1 hour demo. It seems that RE Switch is more focused on survival elements than latest games.

IMO, lt makes sense that a (temporal) exclusive switch game tries to appeal the most possible to japanese audiences as Japan is the only of the 3 big markets where Switch is much more successful than playstation or xbox consoles. The best selling ones there are still the original PS1 entries, where the survival part dominates over the action.

btw, there is also that french guy that also talked (very briefly) about an exclusive RE for Switch.

All this talk about what Nintendo could possibly reveal at TGA is kind of boring because we know Nintendo will save any meaty First Party surprises for their Directs. I wouldn't be surprised if the only Nintendo announcements are a Triangle Strategy trailer with news of a final demo in January and the next pack(s) of games for Capcom Arcade Stadium.

Any time making something with shredded potato that needs to pan fry, you have to wring out as much liquid as possible. I personally use a ricer and just smash the potatoes as much as possible. I shred pretty thick, so if I use a smaller holed insert in the ricer, i don’t lose any potatoes. Gets a ton of moisture m out that way and easier/less cleanup than using a towel.

Hmmm might have to look into that. I've always been terrible at drying out shredded potatoes. Paper towels don't work, cheesecloths don't work, dish towels don't work.

This year we were thinking of using store bought frozen shredded potatoes but that feels like cheating.

Yeah i know i still can’t get over it
I’m a little disappointed because Metroid Prime 2 is my favorite in the series. I was really looking forward to it. I was also looking forward to seeing people who never played the series getting to play all three games.

Why? It would be announced with a release date for Q1 2022. If anything, it would get people taking about Metroid and give a bump to Dread's sales on the holidays.
I totally agree it's the best opportunity to announce it and a great game reveal, that makes sense for the audience and it'll actually help Dread sales in the holidays and through 2022 with Metroid being in the spotlight.
What I definitely don't see coming is an early 2022 release. I actually hope that they don't do the same revealed to release in 2 months like Bayo 1+2, I think it can benefit from a longer hype cycle.
I take this as a Q3/Q4 2022 game, and I think the smartest idea is reveal it at TGA, then blowout at E3(or February Direct of it comes in July-september) with a Metroid Prime 4 trailer with a 2023 release date.

it’s best to forget about almost everything so that when interesting things happen, they’re fun surprises

and I’m not even talking about video games, I forgot what the hiccups were this morning and had a clear moment of terror as my neck seemingly rejected my head

The only reason why I believe in the Outrage Switch rumour in the first place is Dusk Golem's track record and his explanations. But if I'm going to be honest it never sounded like something Capcom would do before Dusk talked about it.
Resident Evil Outrage is a apparently Resident Evil Revelations 3, as in classic RE in third person. Revelations 1 was a 3DS timed exclusive.

I'm pretty sure Dusk is on point with a mainline RE game done with the Switch in mind and being a timed exclusive just like Monster Hunter Rise.

I think this leaked multiplayer stuff and GeForce leak was titles Outbreak, no?
And there's an online Resident Evil announced coming for everything but Switch in 2022 so it's not really news?

Whether Outrage ends up as the final title, or it's Revelation 3, or a complete different thing, I fully believe Dusk is right.

Pretty sure Nintendo have announced or had featured at least one exclusive title of some sort every TGA during the time Switch has been out:

2017 - Breath of the Wild DLC release, Bayonetta 1/2 ports, Bayonetta 3 reveal
2018 - Smash Fighter (Joker), Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 reveal
2019 - Bravely Default 2 reveal, No More Heroes 3 trailer
2020 - Ghosts n Goblins Resurrection reveal, Smash Fighter (Sephiroth)

Reading the 2022 Tea Leaves, and signs are it's an exciting year for Nintendo, but I'm also too damn tired to offer any prediction other than I expect a new Switch exclusive to get revealed at TGA.

Their newer tga reveals do have more content than the wii u ones.

2013 - Cranky Kong
2014 - Breath Of The Wild Gameplay Reveal
2015 - Nothing?
2016 - Breath Of the Wild Trailer

I think everybody is forgetting too quickly we just got a mainline new Monster Hunter made specifically for Switch while another mainline MH game came to everything but Switch and was still being supported and a lot of people were skeptical thinking it would just be a World downport or that nothing was coming.
Resident Evil is an early franchise, we have RE Engine working on Switch but the new multiplat games can't run on it on a satisfactory level(RE7 and the newer), older games are selling amazingly well on Switch and a new instalment would have amazing sales, and Nintendo platforms had timed exclusive Resident Evil games. In fact a lot of them: Resident Evil 4 and Remake for GCN(the latter was actually a full exclusive as it only came to other consoles as a remaster more than a decade later), and GCN was a flop in terms of hardware sales. Resident Evil Revelations was a 3DS exclusive until it was remastered for PS360 and Wii U. Also it's been ages since Revelations 2 came out, we're due for another third person classic RE.
