That's definitely true. Xbox Brazil had contracted a streamer to co-host a program on their social media(idk maybe something like Nintendo Minute but live on twitch I can't recall). She was s
harassed and received a ton of misogynistic hate speech and shitposting on comments. Guess what Microsoft did to protect her from being attacked??? They fired her.
Yeah... Capitalism just hasn't changed all that much in regards to how industries in general treat women. And that sucks and needs to change.

Slightly disappointed that nothing on my eShop wishlist has gone on sale as part of the current "Cyber Deals". Monster Hunter Stories 2 especially would've been great, as it feels like it might be perfect for my current mood. Alas, I'm not going to buy it for 60€.
 
Replaying TTYD is kind of a chore. I don't remember being this annoyed at the pointless backtracking when I played it the first time but I've tried to get back to the game on three different occasions and I always tap out shortly after chapter 2 because I'm already dreading chapter 4. If they ever decide to remaster it, I hope they at least increase Mario's movement speed. And yes, I know about Yoshi. But these first few chapters are brutal.

I do, very much so. Yet I still did put over 15h into the Demo, that's how much I liked everything else. 🤭
That's why I want to get it down the line after all, but I ultimately won't be paying full price for a product I'm not fully satisfied with.

Alternatively I thought about picking it up on Steam (when on sale) to play it on the Deck some time next year. Not sure about that at this point in time, though, given the lack of Deck impressions.
 
Series S is here. An excellent little box, though the internal storage won't go far and it baffles me that Microsoft continue to include AA batteries in their controllers, but there we are.

Subbed to Game Pass for £1 for the first month, which is pretty great. Gonna set some stuff to download and then walk the dog and it'll be back to the Switch and that irritating boss on Phantasy Star IV.

At this point you’re probably better off just waiting for the Deck if you’ve already preordered it. I’m hoping for the Pro to give some of these games a bit of a boost as well.

Probably, yeah. The only thing irrationally bugging me is the fact that I'll have MH Rise on Switch and Stories 2 on Deck. 😂

If the Pro ends up being bc (let's see), then Stories 2 will likely be ok on there, too, which also is something I'm keeping in mind.

I also agree Geoff is hyping this year up more than usual. The shows are far from perfect, but I do think they are improving every year and his genuine enthusiasm helps. Hope they actually spend more time on the actual awards somehow though more trailers than ever doesn’t inspire hope.

And I just realized while writing a post in the other place that Nintendo probably knows really well what they are doing with the riding of their sales, especially when it comes to Xenoblade 2 because finding that game physically below $70 is an impossible thing so getting the game at $42 and Torna as DLC for $30 either now or down the lane is like getting the only Xenoblade 2 physical.

Anyway, I probably won’t getting once again because of money, but yeah, it seems that they are not going down on the $40-$42 for something like Xenoblade 2, which is definitely not selling like other games that don’t go below that because of, well, the market… damnit lol

I, the AA battery defender, have logged on

Internal, non-replaceable batteries mean that, for the majority of users who aren’t confident enough to “get in there” and replace it themselves, warranty be damned, once a battery is dead, the controller goes into the trash. With Microsoft’s AA battery decision, it’s trivial for the end user to buy some rechargeable AA batteries and a battery charger, and simply replace the batteries once they’re shot. This results in far less waste and is more sustainable AND economical in the long run.

My launch Dualshock 4s are in the trash. My launch Xbox One controllers still get regular use.

Actually my launch DS4s are in the electronics recycling bin because I’m not a monster.

things that drain battery quickly and gets used often like controllers, I understand.

it's shit like tv remote controls that really need rechargeable batteries. my tv remote's battery is finally dead, and what makes it worse is that there are no proper controls on the tv

Wonder how Prime Remaster/Remake looks like. Dread is a good looking game with low fidelity despite running at 60fps but Prime was one of the best looking game of its gen. I hope the remaster will carry that heritage and be the most beautiful game of the console.

Btw 8bitdo Pro 2 arrives with a battery that fits in its AA slot, and it's rechargeable without having to remove it from the controller

Never had a Xbox controller but looks like it has a similar accessory available, so in the end it's just more options overall as you can still have a fixed battery if you prefer it instead of swapping the AAs

I think maybe Geoff is just thrilled to have an actual live show again after 2020 took that from him.

Or, Microsoft could include a removable, chargeable battery which they sell as a standalone item, which has been available since the 360 was on the market, and let people buy the replacement when their existing battery stops functioning. Shouldn't be above Sony and Nintendo to offer that, too.

Honestly I think I would rather AA batteries, which is an open/non-proprietary standard. I don’t think I should have to buy Xbox specific battery packs.

You can get a 4 pack of rechargeable AA batteries and a charger at ikea for like, $15 bucks (Canadian) tops.

The only recent rumor Is that Nintendo is making a game next year that's supposed to be a stinker and has to do something with horses, also it's a sequel to previous casual game. Other than that Nate and Emily have been silent on tga stuff so anything can happen
