Beat Halo Reach for the first time since like 2011. Not as great as I remembered but still pretty fun. I've beaten Halo 3 and Reach over the past few weeks so I think I'll take a break from the series for now.

idc what anyone says tokyo drift is a GREAT movie
Still the best of the series in my opinion. There has yet to be a F&F movie that was that interested in being faithful to the actual car culture it was portraying.

Welp, looks like I'll be chipping away at this for a while.

It’s great, was my evening game for a long time. Just about time for me to choose a new one, leaning AI the Somnium Files

Great idea! Such underrated gem it was. Pretty depressing actually, compared to similar detective games. There are multiple endings and for the first time in adventure games I pushed hard for getting the good ending...

I heard some of the bad endings weren’t so bad XD. I’m sure I’ll go for it all like 999. It’s that or finally get to Danganronpa 2

Nah the bad endings were worse than the bad endings of all of the Zero Escape series. Think of the depressing parts of Ace Attorney series, this is much darker than that. But that shouldn't keep you from playing, it's great because it's depressing.

"Multiple endings" may be technically true, but it's more like... 'endings of branches of the plot'. There's really only one ending, IMO. It's a lot like previous games from that team like 999 or VLR, in that each technically have multiple endings but they're designed to just be seen as part of the overall plot. I can't imagine anyone playing any of these games and actually stopping playing at one of the earlier endings and being satisfied, you'd miss out on most of the actual narrative.

I actually skipped the true endings of VLR and Zero Time Dilemma, lol

But AI was much better game than those. Sure you need all endings to unlock the final ending but I would have dropped it if it's not interesting enough. This one was...
And it's mainly because you get to like the characters. Iris, Ota and even Mizuki... Since there are fewer characters than Zero Escape games, game makes deeper dives on their characters. Like Ota's flashback with his tosan and kasan.. You can't get it all, you can't save them all in all the other endings.

Anyone else had a bit of a crappy day?

Today I failed at putting a screen protector on properly.

Twice.

Now I've had to order another pack of screen protectors as the two I tried today are useless.
One piece of advice that really helped me was to run your shower for a few minutes first before applying your screen protector. The steam makes all the dust settle or something so the chances of getting anything under the screen protector is much smaller.

Screen protectors have been my enemy for so long lol, I struggle with them every time I get a new device.

Man I REALLY don’t like the barrel riding stages in DKC Tropical Freeze, especially 6-4. You have no control of the barrel vertically/horizontally, it’s autorun, and you have to mash A to move the barrel up, and there’s a lot of ascending and descending slopes and hills, and I keep dying. I used items from the store. This level is so frustrating. Ughhhhhh. I’m kinda sour on this game. I vastly prefer the snes games :(

Edit: an hour and a half or two hours on this level, 6-4 blurry flurry I hate you

Happens to me every time I need to do a screen protector. Luckily amFilm is really generous with refunds because I went through like 7 packs with my OLED.

I loved that movie. I never saw any FF movie after I think 7 or 8. But just looked up if Twinkie and Sean make a return in the series and they do in F9. Reading up that plot of the movie is so ridiculous and hilarious I now must watch the rest of the movies lol.

i want to watch it just for them, but i also have memed it to death so i’m conflicted maybe one day when i have nothing at all to do

Just about to enter a new Nintendo marketing season

Within the next month and a half-ish,

Indie World
Pokémon Presents
Nintendo Direct
Gamescom (a stretch.. but something from someone usually happens)
Tokyo Game Show

I'm hoping for a big showing by Level-5 at TGS

Bayonetta 3 is priced off to 20 euros where I live, should I buy it?
I'm tempted, because it seems like this deal will never happen again but I've never played a Bayonetta game before...

Whoa, a full Pokémon Presents... That's surprising, because they literally revealed everything about the expansion packs in the Direct. There's definitely gonna be a full game announcement. Pokémon Legends 2, here we go!

Physical? At worst, you sell it at that price or possibly higher once the offer runs out. Give it a shot.
I haven't played Bayo 3 yet, so I can't gauge what it'd be like for a series newcomer. I assume it'll be fine.

Pokémon Legends 2, here we go!

I'm not holding my breath, but that'd be great. I started playing the first one earlier this week, and it's pretty fun. I think a more polished and (environmentally) denser game in this template could be my favorite Pokemon.

And I ordered a laptop. Baldur's Gate III, Starfield, the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, and my Xbox just not downloading games properly anymore pushed me over the edge sooner than I expected.

did we watch the same Direct
Not everything,of course but this time we got a full reveal of expansion pack 2 before exp pack 1 releases unlike SwSh. And I don't think there are much to reveal for DLCs left, maybe few more regional type pokémon for Indigo Disk. Maybe not even that?

Most of what we know about the DLC came from the reveal back in Feb, which was just the premise. The last Direct had basically nothing

Yeah they pretty much just gave us tone pieces for the Teal Mask, there is a lot they could show about it still.

Can't wait to have my mind completely changed on the Scarlet & Violet DLC and pre-order it following the conclusion of this Pokemon Presents.

another pokémon presents announced, another round of hopeless expectation of “they’re gonna announce all the old pokemon games on switch this time”

rinse and repeat

it’s like the only thing i want from TPC
