Is this why NintendoLife isn't listed on the "approved media" list? 😂

Rapidly approaching that irritating December through January period when we have to wait for Nintendo to get their shit together and do some marketing at us so we know what the first half looks like.
If we don’t know what the first half of 2022 looks like shortly after TGAs I’ll be surprised

Well it'll presumably be some news at TGA followed by a January or February Direct, yeah.

I'd also say it's not too difficult to guess what we're looking at for the first half: Pokemon Legends, Triangle Strategy, Advance Wars, Kirby, the casual game and perhaps Splatoon 3.

I feel like someone posts this every few hours

Which is good. Keep doing that, people. SMT V is amazing
I'm too lazy to check, but I don't think I've made more than 30 posts on this board since the game is out. It has consumed just about my entire free time.

Edit: Okay, I looked it up anyway and this was only my 15th post since I got the game last Thursday, smh.

That casual sequel had better be Ring Fit 2 or I riot

The casual stinker with "Everybody" in the title is obviously Kung-Fu Master 3: Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting

By the time BotW2 comes out, it'll have been 5+ years since BotW1, and 4 years since the DLC.

My question/concern is a lot of people (including myself) are hyping up the fact that they will have worked on BotW2 for 4-5 years without the need for major overhaul in assets and engine work (since that took 1/3 of BotW1's development time). It makes logical sense to be hyped about what they spent all that time on. But people forget covid hit them hard. For all we know development could have only been an equivalent of 2-3 years by the time it's done with the covid setbacks. Who knows?

Looks like GameStop accidentally listed switch games for the discount amount rather than the intended price. Get on those new first party games for $27 if people want them. Includes FE, BOTW, paper Mario, splatoon 2, Kirby, NSMBU deluxe, xenoblade.
Why the hell can’t we get these deals in Canada?!?! I just want to get Fire Emblem on the cheap.

I was hyped for Captain Toad DLC, but never actually played it because it’s laser focused on co-op and I heard the single player experience wasn’t actually great.
Single player is amazing and the DLC was fine for me solo. Of course I liked triforce heroes solo, so I probably have a very specific frame of reference

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe is an isekai
It's funny because I'm fairly certain the Western rendition of the isekai is older than the Japanese one (though I'm not familiar with classical Japanese literature so maybe I'm wrong there) and yet the genre has now been deemed fully anime

I made the mistake of playing video games this weekend.

Don't be like me.

Hope ya'll are all doing well and taking care of yourselves
I've been having a great weekend for games! Playing mostly SMTV, but we were able to do another session of Divinity Original Sin 2 multiplayer last night and that game is still a blast with a full four-person group. Really gives you the feel of a DnD party in so many ways.

Oh that sounds like a good time!

I know in my heart I appreciate a good lengthy single-player experience, and perhaps this is from N64 childhood indoctrination, but I never have more fun with gaming than a group of friends playing games together on the weekend. Even just board games lol.

My poisons of choice this weekend were primarily Forza Horizon 5 and Animal Crossing HHP. I'm embracing my normie core tastes :ROFLMAO:.

Pokémon update: yeah actually this game is super fun if you like Pokémon. The mini wild areas in the Grand Underground are fun to explore, the collection of Pokémon here is varied and interesting, etc.

And I think they’ve actually improved the battle animations a bit! Lots of moves that felt a little odd in Sword + Shield are more effective now (i.e. Astonish sends out a malicious little wave instead of the user just looking startled)

there are definitely minor animation glitches but I think most people won’t care that the loop drops a single frame while you’re in your boxes, or that opening the Pokémon menu during battle sometimes adds a tiny stutter, etc etc etc

A co-op game that replicates the feeling of a tabletop rpg with short-ish (45min to 1.5h) campaigns is basically my dream game. Until someone decides to make that I guess I gotta do with D2.
