"I will be there no matter what"

It seems P3 Remake is coming to all platforms except Switch. 🙃
It's gonna be the same song and dance of P5R last year huh? Lol

I mean, the leaker probably knows of announcements early. Xbox Showcase is this Sunday so it makes sense for it to leak. Maybe he knows of programmed tweets of Atlus, where after the Xbox Showcase they announce it's coming to PC and PS too.

But then again, they don't mention it's coming to Switch because that's being confirmed on a trailer at a Nintendo Direct like 2 weeks after.

P3-5 was the same thing last year. Was announced at Xbox. Twitter/site confirmed Playstation/PC. Only got confirmed for Switch in a well made trailer in Partner Showcase 2-3 weeks after.

What Direct ended with the Sword and Shield expansion pass? Are you referring to the Pokemon Direct that happened in January 2020?
The Direct Mini in March of that year, it was super random cause we already knew about it existing, but it was still the closer of that Direct.
I mean it was a Mini, but it still seemed desperate to show anything.

@Aurc Nintendo should start the marketing campaign for Metroid Prime 4 with FF7R2 Q&A tweets.

Samus will embark on a journey on an unknown world that will reveal her convictions and destiny.

🤣 Honestly, I would welcome these kinds of tweets with open arms if Metroid Prime 4 was the game in question. We currently have a logo from before the reboot, and that's it! For all we know, the game's final name may not even have "Prime 4" in it. I'd be jumping up and down in excitement over some meaningless marketing sentences hyping up Samus and whatever planet in the vaguest of ways.

Nate cannot confirm the July thing from Grubb yet, maybe he has not heard about it at all. He said he is done with teasing that's for sure at least.

Told you: Nintendo bribed Grubb, then blackmailed him and told him if he didn't start spreading rumours about a July event, they'd shave him.

It's a false flag operation to distract from the impending June Direct.

Oh yeah, the Mini Direct with aired right as the pandemic was spreading world wide and the one with the big Covid message at the front of it. Desperate is one way to frame it I suppose.

Just saw the tweet, you are reffering to Nintendo Direct specifically yes? Not sure if DeepL translated it correctly.
Wait what tweet is everyone referring to? Did I miss something?

Actually it would be 3 p.m. PT because it’s daylight saving time 🤓

I was camping out for the tweet, but I can’t just leave this hanging.

Question - What can you tell us about this new planet Samus will explore?

Answer: The new planet Samus will explore will have a range of biomes and she will work to uncover its history.

Man a huge AAA game like FF7 remake part 2 gets updates but we're still waiting for more Dragon Quest 3 news more than 2 years after its reveal. 2 years! We got 2 other 2DHD games in the meantime!

Etrian Odyssey Collection beat out Street Fighter 6 in first week sales in Japan. Devastating news for loves of third party Switch haters.

This is quite funny, because I'm sure they tweeted the other day that Nintendo wouldn't do a June Direct?

I think people have heard something in the last couple of days, especially with Nate deciding to vote June.

No matter what people, insiders and such think. We. Team June. Are destinated to win. Either way, I said plenty of times that we still got time for that insider stuff as everyone was saying it's quiet.

I like that a bunch of people are posting @necrolipe’s tweet when he straight up said “direct incoming” in this very thread lol
I didn’t know it was necrolipe’s tweet at first because somebody mentioned a French person tweeting it as well

Of course, this is purely based on my selfish needs, but given the circumstances i feel like i'd enjoy a July Direct much more. My gaming mind is still completely taken over by TOTK (even though i've already finished the main story), by July this might not be the case. I can't even think of playing anything else right now and my hype for this not-E3 season is basically zero. Only yesterday i realized we're already on SGF and Xbox showcase week.

I haven't listened to Grubb's comments directly. I only looked at the Era thread where in the title is mentions that he unsure if it's a Partner Showcase or an Indie World but it got me thinking what type of rumblings would you have to hear that you wouldn't be able to make that distinction right away lol

Like if the source of the rumblings is someone from like Sega or Capcom, then probably not an Indie World. If the source is someone at Nintendo, now I'm imagining a random employee just DMing non-specific info to the press. "Hey guys, we are doing some video of sorts...in July...maybe".

I hope there's no confusion between "Direct" and "general Direct" this time.

Direct means general Direct.

Partner Showcase would be a huge L for Team June.

tbh kinda weird that some of our usual sources are saying June, but Grubb seemed pretty keen on July. I wonder if it’s two different things? Like what if this month is a Partner showcase but next month is, dare I say it… new hardware?
I can't believe they're finally revealing the long-awaited Switch TV/calcio

dare I say it… new hardware?
don't do this to you

Grubb could misinterpret something idk, he is cool guy but we all know he admitted last year that he had bad source with all that Metroid stuff, could be the same situation but I doubt. Listening to words what he said only rumblings and stuff, could very well be Indie World. I also think that something like hardware event would basically be bullet proof from leaking (the 2023 release date is dead for long time though).

If Jeff's not sure if it's Indie World or Partner Showcase, then maybe his source is actually an indie dev?

It shouldn't be surprising that Nintendo might have multiple presentations in the works. First party, third party and the wacky world of Pokemon all need updates soon.

July 2019 was when they revealed the lite
July 2021 was when they revealed the oled
July 2023 was when they revealed the....
Hmmm

so what's the consensus here? Are we getting a june direct or they'll just do a july direct to mess with our mind?
Also are we getting a july direct for them to just wait 2 months and do another direct?
