Within a 7 day period, we are getting these three collections! I have always been a big supporter of making classic games available on modern consoles. There are so many great games that are locked on past hardware, but they are still just as playable in 2023. We are in an age where just about any collection of games is possible. Heck, if we can get all of the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games, then anything is possible. So I ask you Fami, what is that dream collection that you are dying to play on Switch?

I think the Maximo games would be a good fit. Or hell, Mass Effect 3 is what, 12 years old, I’ll take the ME collection :D

Pretty random, but I would really love to play the old school Mario & Luigi games again, as far as feasible of course (dual screen and vertical mode.. yea). Heck, if I'm able to dream here, give me ALL of them!

Does anyone know if the Vouchers work on the Battle Network collection? I was told the Pixel Remaster bundle didn't apply so I wasn't sure if it wouldn't work on MMBNT either since it's technically 2 games

The vouchers normally only work on games published by Nintendo.

It was great to remember Maximo once again today, wasn't it. I remember watching a gameplay video on a disc came with Official Playstation Magazine and getting completely infatuated with it. Too bad the save system was a mess. If Capcom ever to remaster the games they need to have better save system.

I would like this to be a collection since we did have one remake recently:

Quintet Collection: give me a compilation of Act Raiser (including 2 even if it’s not good), Illusion of Gaia, Soul Blazer, Robotreck, and Terranigma. Include art assets, sound test, all the bells and whistles that the digital eclipse people include. Most of these games haven’t had a rerelease ever, so would fill a big void.
 
Another vote for a Viewtiful Joe collection . At this point I will take a Trauma Center collection or a Ouendan collection, even though I would prefer new games for those.

Also, Skies of Arcadia, they can make the damn sequel and bundle it with the first game <3

I would still like to see:
  • Capcom do a Megaman Oddities collection which puts the 5 GB games, Soccer, Rockboard, and Rockman & Forte onto a single cart. I guess the Xtreme games too.
  • Capcom do a Breath of Fire collection. Like c'mon, Switch is the ultimate JRPG system. Just do it already.
  • Custom Robo collection

Not that the kids in the audience were bored or restless or anything, but when I went to see the Mario movie over the weekend the adults were 100% having way more fun than them.

I’m sorry but I just got back from D&D and the previews were for:

TMNT Mutant Mayhem
Transformers Whatever

It might be elder millenial parents but it’s still GenX that’s largely getting pandered to at the box office right now. At least as far as the geekier things go.
 
Kinda tired of new consoles being unveiled. Wish someone would unveil an old console for a change.

I’ve been thinking about it all day, it’s a game that will stick with me for a long time. I rarely get very emotional about games, or most things in general, but Space for the Unbound got me real good. I was already crying a little off and on during the last chapter, but when that certain sequence begins and the vocal track kicks in I just completely lost it. I’m glad I didn’t have much else going on yesterday because I was kind of a mess.

That might sound like a negative, but it’s not - the game is sad, yes, but also very uplifting and hopeful at the same time, and incredibly cathartic. I can’t recommend it enough.

This probably won't happen since it's Nintendo and they love charging full price, but a Paper Mario Collection of the first five games (everything but Origami King) would be super rad to have. Even just the first three, Paper Mario, TTYD, and Super Paper Mario, would be a solid collection.

For the boring, predictable choice: I really want a Castlevania DS collection. All three games are amazing and some of the best in the series, plus it's nearly the only 2D games in the series we don't have yet (put SOTN in there too, for... some reason, I don't care, just do it!)

For something more offbeat, I'd love a Quintet Collection of SNES games. SoulBlazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma in particular are weird, incredibly ambitious games that would be great to see on modern consoles.

Milennial parent here to agree with this. My childhood is not the one being forced down everyone's throat for eternity.
