I have only made two houses in the AC DLC's HHD but that's because I play AC on my commute to work and I don't want to "work" when I go to work if that makes sense. But I will admit it is more than I thought I'd do. Mostly just doing it for the exclusive furniture as I don't really get much satisfaction from designing stuff in the game that isn't mine. I got it for "free" with the NSO expansion so I am not too worried about not getting the full value of the price.

for your consideration

ace attorney vs lupin III

Okay hear me out:

Phoenix Wright encountering a AA-styled Arsene Lupin who is also the descendant of Herlock Sholmes

ALSO YOU KNOW ELSE IS A THIEF KAY FARADAY, HOLY SHIT IT ALL TIES TOGETHER

thank you for reading my fanfiction thank you

I just spent three hours getting a car onto a trailer. My body hurts, and my brain is tired. Know what I need now?

video games

Guys I'm enjoying Great Ace Attorney

And my deduction skills tell me you would love it too!

Your deductions are right on the money! Every time I play an AA game, I get burnt out for a week then get sad that I don't have anymore to play. Still need to play the two 3DS titles.

I have a question for the fami. I vastly prefer to buy my games physical. Unless they are hard to find, I would always choose the physical on my shelf. Except for Animal Crossing. I wish I would have bought that digital. Anyway, I've been thinking about GTA and contemplating buying it digital then getting the physical on sale or used some day for a much cheaper price. I've been thinking digital because from the looks of it you have to download them anyway, even though it does come with a cart. Am I crazy for thinking of going this route? I know the physical isn't coming out until next month, and that doesn't matter to me. I mean, should I just buy the digital and get the box later? Why am I so torn on this? I bought the cart for Borderlands and it's the same situation, so why am I questioning it now? And where the hell was I? (That last question is a joke and I hope at least a couple of you get the reference.) Please help fami! I can't make my own decisions!

Only because I checked my email did I see that TWEWY: Final Remix is the current game trial. I doubt I'll be able to beat it before SMT comes out, but if I like it enough I'll pick it up. This is a pretty cool choice and (almost) makes up for NA not getting Daemon x Machina game trial.

I just had a weird thought. It's about the Dane Switch but I don't think it belongs in the Hardware thread because teeeeechnically my question is speculation about a Direct (that's still allowed, right?).

It's been said that Nintendo is not likely to advertise whatever leaps in processing power the thing will have, instead probably sticking to vague stuff like "smoother experience, and 4K on many games!" rather than mentioning higher framerates and that sort of technical stuff. I understand, Nintendo tends to keep their messaging simple.

BUT, since this is sort of a weird case, being a big iterative successor to their main console (as opposed to what they did with the Gameboy and DS lines), and I think a lot of consumers will be interested in what the differences and possibilities actually are, I wonder: might Nintendo do the simple "smoother and 4K" description as part of the initial announcement, then do a separate "Tech Direct" where they actually delve into some of the details and specifics?

EDIT: saw the mod warning and realized my comment was unnecessary!

retconned greetings, all

I honestly don’t want the TGA announcement to be a remaster. That can wait for the February Direct, give us something new at TGA.

Hmmmm TGA announce for early 2022 release??? Would coincide with a Metroid Dread GOTY win…
anything they could announce at TGA would be exciting in my eyes, but I’m not going to bank on the major ones.

I’m thinking it’ll be smaller, unexpected dunks to jazz up the shebang.

plus if I set my expectations for that and they drop any of the things we may or may not have heard about in their pipeline, it’ll be an exciting surprise!

here’s hoping we can collectively dodge the post-TGA malaise of olde

In my head, it would be Geoff showing off Dread as a GOTY contender, followed by a Metroid Prime 4 teaser...but wait there's more! Metroid Prime Remaster. Spring/Summer 2022.
The presence of three Metroid games at the same event would be fuckin wild.

I’m torn on the TGA big announcement from Nintendo. It could be a brand new trailer for BotW 2 or the MP1R. Those are my leading candidates. Of course they could announce a new third party game coming to Switch.

I’m leaning towards BotW 2 if Nintendo is confident in it coming in 2022. I can also see playing off of Dread and continuing the Metroid hype with this MP1R announcement.

addendum: if they drop Mii Sports at TGA I will LOSE IT with fëstive joÿ

but that’s not even half-rumored to happen so y’know

It's going to start with the Nintendo logo on the trailer, show persona 5 but end with "never coming to switch". That's it.

No but seriously it's Retro's Other Game™ which we learned is MP1R all along (other than the other other games that were cancelled and we've never learned about.)

Dear Santa Keighley, at TGA I wish to see a reveal of Metroid Prime 1 HD, a Mario movie teaser and most of all, a BotW2 trailer (with name reveal ideally). Thanks in advance.

Nintendo said that the Breath of the Wild Sequel is coming in 2022, and Nintendo does not want to go through the Zelda delay cycle again. So, I think it is coming out next year. I could actually see the game showing up at the TGAs.

Probably of interest to a lot of people

Someone pointed out in this thread how the OLED dock is too tall for Hori Split Pad Pro to be kept on when inserting a Switch. That was a bit dissapointing to hear, but at least something like this would give me somewhere to put them.

tragically it just can't

wii sports 3 would be an EPD 4 (Labo, Ring Fit, GBG) joint if it were ever to happen, and I can't imagine them deviating from their current annual-ish weirdo project dev cycle

y'all don't need natedrake to tell you that metroid prime isn't early 2022

if it were we would've heard about it by now instead of one the half dozen other 2022 games

I don't blame anyone for forgetting about it because I sure do, but the early 2022 Nintendo game is the new Pokémon. I don't even think we'll see anything else until Advance Wars drops in early April

I bet we'll see a digital only game in Feb/March before then.

I figured. You think E3 reveal? Metroid Prime 4 and this MP1 showing at E3?
It could happen before E3. Depends when they slot it in for release and what kind of marketing campaign they want. The game is currently in QA. It could be announced at any time. Marketing is the only unknown factor when it comes to Metroid Prime 1 Remaster releasing in 2022. Keep in mind next year would be the 20th anniversary of Prime 1, too.

Nobody has forgotten Pokemon Legends (and neither have you). I think people's definition of early 2022 just ranges from anywhere between January to late March, maybe even into early April. I don't think anyone is predicting their to be another game in January. Also I think Triangle Strategy is in March which is published by Nintendo.

ah fair play, I'd bet on this too

speak for yourself, every time I try to think through Nintendo's 2022 I forget both Arceus and Triangle. I'm kinda old and out of the game at this point though

This will definitely be answered come the first big direct of 2022 then. Either it shows up there or at E3.

If Metroid Prime 1 is for 2022, I can't help but feel MP4 is for Dane first then ported down to Mariko. If I were Nintendo, I'd try to have MP4 be a headliner given the timeline
