(lowkey want a thread for smoking some green and good games to play besides the obvious Tetris suggestion, but I'm not keen on being the OP of that thread when I'm also trying to cut back my usage lol)

Also Forza reviews coming out in a few. Probably the first new game this year to get a 90+ score.

I almost forgot how lively and busy selling retro/used games can be in Toronto. You throw up a random old JRPG and you get swarmed with messages asking for it.

At least I haven't gotten physical threatened over anything here....yet.

Ayyyyyy congrats!

I would easily say Halo 3, but Halo 4 is also very accessible, while H2A is a really nice bridge between classic and modern Halo gameplay.

Even from a cold-hearted business perspective, I’m not convinced FOMO-induced increase in early sales outweighs the sales the collection would have gotten over the years as a part of Switch (and successor) library.

This reminds me of a post I saw in a FB retrogaming group, where someone got a GCN with games like Sunshine, 1080, F-Zero, GB Player, freaking Paper Mario 2 and more for just 120€. Fucking steal. PM2 alone is that much worth

I don't really care for racing games AND YET I bought Cruis'n blast (it is an excellent couch co-op game to play with friends) and I'm drooling over Forza Horizon 5. Is this it? Am I officially my uncle who went crazy over every Gran Turismo? Is this adulthood?

I am coping with this realization by telling myself that Cruis'n Blast is actually a party game, and that all I like about FH5 is how it looks (I dropped out of FH4 in like 4/5 hours because I am terrible at racing games) but My God does FH5 look great. Easily the game I'm most looking forward to in these last couple of months.

Lmao nintendo be like “games sold good”

Good morning folks! I haven’t started the AC update yet. Instead my girlfriend and I finished the 1996 Japanese romance drama Long Vacation last night.

And now it’s 7:50 am and I’m starting work. And I‘m PROBABLY gonna have to work late. Wish me luck, which I will NOT leave to Heaven.

I’ll get to AC eventually haha
 
Since not all people understand the sacrifices that parents are willing to make I am going to say it here.

I reset my 330h Animal Crossing Island so that my two sons can start their own on our family Switch. Why not get more Switches you ask? My wife has her island on the other Switch.
 
Pokémon Snap sales are disappointing.

Wasn’t a fan of the original myself but thought it would do much better.


Other then that. Pretty boring update for sales. Skyward Sword is where I thought it would be.

Warioware not being there I expected.

Pretty boring, gotta wait till the next one to get interesting updates.

Morning everyone! Hope everyone has a great day!

I’ve been having a rough stretch of intense back pain the last month or so, and I’m now officially on bed rest and lidocaine patches. So naturally, when I woke up (and figured out how to slide myself out of bed and into a somewhat upright position,) I hobbled out for a Pokémon Go and Pikmin Bloom loop. 😅

Gonna use this rest time to try out the Animal Crossing DLC, work on my Switch backlog, play some more NSO Sega Genesis and N64, and hopefully end up putting a positive spin on a rough time, regardless of what I end up finding out about my back.

Take it easy today, guys!
 
I actually wasn’t a huge fan of New Snap. I donno what it is about the game, it just seems to lack the charm of the original for me. I could go back to the N64 game and run through it right now and have a good time, but I don’t feel any drive to go back to New Snap after rolling credits. I haven’t even bothered to check out the new courses.

You have no childlike joy in you anymore. Only nostalgia, which is the most powerful drug there is.
 
Huh, I don't know if they changed some things around the servers but the Guardians of the Galaxy Cloud demo worked surprisingly well... it was still far from perfect but at the very least, completely playable compared to Control and Hitman 3 over here in Northern Germany. Might even check it out in a sale.
