I don't have confidence that we'll get a June direct with no E3. Both times it's been cancelled Nintendo has been MIA. Of course the lack of E3 doesn't have to mean no June direct, but it doesn't bode well imo.

The fan profile I hate the most is "I DEMAND GAMES NOW" kind of fan. Why is it so hard to be patient? Nintendo literally is the publisher with most published games a year! lots of stuff to keep you busy while wait.

The potential of no major releases after Zelda doesn't bode super well for even a February direct imo. I could see them riding the year out on just Zelda and Pikmin 4. It would make sense if this is the last full year of Switch.

per Kit + Krysta, that ending was conceptualized as a last minute change per Iwata requesting something bigger at 4PM the night before the presentation and they stayed up late to rehearse it

No, less releases doesn't mean no releases. They would have saved Fire Emblem if that was the case. It means exactly what it sounds like. Less MAJOR releases.

Btw to all the people who are already dooming with no directs. Remember that not having new game releases never stopped Nintendo from doing Nintendo directs.
We might have another partner showcase for june though and maybe we shouldn't expect games like epDK (it doesn't exists) and 2d Mario for this year.

I’m still rolling with the Direct announced tomorrow for the Team January Announcement Glory Win. Getting some wild leaks for this one between online ids, retail game listings, and vouchers slipping out.

Maybe Kit is the head and Ellis is the body and they have separate, individual opinions and perspectives.

Maybe when Kit needs to make a video on short notice he detaches from Ellis and floats around like a Metroid.

That’s why I was considering what Christoper Dring and the other guy said about Nintendo not have any MAJOR releases after TOTK. I believe it is true. I just want to know if 2D Mario or 2D DK is considered “major”
 
A lot of my favorite Nintendo series don't necessarily qualify as MAJOR releases, so it could still be a pretty cool year for me! (...I hope.)
 
In the past few hours we've gone from no E3 to less major games this year to a announcement from the Direct leaking early lol

Also definition of "major release" should vary from person to person. I think Dring meant "no mainline Mario Zelda or anything like that after TotK". Late in a console life is a perfect time to push out some new IP's and I think it's exactly what Nintendo will do for Switch.
