Imagine if they announced that via a shot-for shot remake of the Direct video where Reggie retired and just gave that kid his job, except this time it's Doug in Reggie's spot and and Bill in the kid's spot.

I'm going to make a Twitter account that's one of those daily "is X out yet" tweets and I'm naming it "Is Star Fox Adventures out on Switch yet" and I'm prepared to let this go on forever because this will sadly never happen.

Maybe it's time to let go.

Now I'm actually pretty convinced they're doing an HD-2D version. I mean even Chrono Cross is on Switch now. Who woulda expected them to release Cross first?

Well not too long ago, Kamui Fujiwara (character design & concept art on Terranigma) alonside the composer Masanori Hikichi, openly supported a petition launched by a fan to ask SquareEnix to bring back Terranigma on modern systems. To help bring attention, Kamui Fujiwara exposed TONS of his concept art and portfolio on the game.

You can definitely tell that the game left a powerful memory on the team at Quintet. The petition got more than 12.000 votes.

Kamui then made a little video montage of the game using his story board and concept arts.

If that's not dedication and a love letter to the game, then I don't know what it is.

Reminds me of the director of Skies of Arcadia who was so grateful to see people asking for a remaster / sequel to the game years after its release.
 
Why did the Doug Bowser cross the road? Because he heard great things about CrossCode but he misheard the name.
 
Every time I look at those clickbaity Nintendo news channels, I die a little bit inside.
 
The Prime Remaster/Remake leak is the most annoying rumor we've had in the Switch era. We all know that's true at this point (due to a multitude of sources: LinkedIn and insiders), the game has been finished since last summer, but for some reason we still have to wait forever to see a single frame of it.

We need something else to restart the hype machine now

hype is so dead it's insane

  • tears of the kingdom could be great but it could also be botw 1.2
  • pikmin 4 might as well not exist
  • metroid prime hd is a joke
  • prime 4 went from being a jpg of a 4 to a jpg on a linkedin page
  • at this point 3D mario isn't coming until hardware
  • epd in general is probably pretty much done with switch
  • everybody's 1-2 switch, the most interesting rumor of recent memory, is never coming out

all of my personal excitement lies in my hopium for certain weird small projects I like (tomodachi, rhythm heaven, maybe fucking rusty's real deal baseball 2)

It’s because of Nintendo we have to wait. They’re the ones holding the game for an eternity.

This but with some more on what might've led the game that's been done since summer 2021 to not release until even holiday 2023:
When Emily talked about it, shortly after Belmont in late 2021(or early 2022?), she talked about Metroid Prime 4 being, at that point, a 2023 game. My guess is it was aiming for holiday 2023 until early/mid 2022, when they realized it would not be ready this year.
They wouldn't couple the announcement of the game in 2022 with a game aiming for 2024, so they decided it was best to delay its announcement and release for 2023.

Yeah I definitely don’t see Metroid Prime 4 coming this year. It’s a 2024 game, but we’ll get MPR + Metroid Prime 4’s first trailer this year.
 
I'm not asking much, a simple tease about Buddy Mission Bond finally coming to the West is enough but all we know is that EPDK exists but not sure if Nintendo will show it this year and F-Zero is getting a remaster.

I'm so pessimistic at this point that I'm basically ready to admit it will never see the light of day. I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to straight-up cancel something just because it leaked.

Yeah, I think it was the last "true leak"(as in actual images of an unannounced game being dumped online) I can think of, actually I don't remember a lot of those on Switch era, only other that comes to mind being Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Direct site and the big Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle leak(and Liam using the Mario of the games art like 3 months before the game was announced as his profile pic lmao)

I'm thinking the same. I'm sure it's 2024, whether it's spring 2024 or late 2024 is what remains to be discovered, it also depends on whether MPR is surprisingly announced for release in spring still or late summer/fall.
Now they can finally reveal it alongside MP4.

Buddy Mission Bond just NEEDS to be localized for YESTERDAY (I KNOW YOU'RE READING THIS NINTENDO PLEASE STOP THE TORTURE).
 
i would be significantly more excited for an english release of Buddy Mission Bond than I would be for Metroid Prime HD
