Originally I voted for 400pages like before, but I think that was when we were going through this at a steady clip and would hit it by November 1st anyways

Plus if we can support a thread going beyond 400 pages if something truly melts us down, might as well let OP of the month handle the reins and ride it to the end.

Would it be a changing of the guards at noon EST with fanfare and an hour of ceremony on the first of every month?

Famiboards is an ecchi anime that borders on being a full blown hentai. You ponder how it was even possible for it be approved to be shown to general audiences.

I take it back. Famiboards is actually an isekai based on a light novel series.

From the previews, it seems like the game is a lot more accessible for newer players.

I'm glad Atlus is continuing to make the games accessible for newer players with added Qol.

  • 2017: I really like ARMS but I did not get much mileage out of it. Splatoon I barely played
  • 2018: Mario Tennis was probably my favorite June game but it was just not worth it at the time
  • 2019: Mario Maker 2 just pissed me off and I did not enjoy making in it
  • 2020: it took me a year to appreciate Clubhouse. meanwhile Paper Mario was a fun quarantine game with my sister so it's the July exception
  • 2021: my summer of fucking regrets. Game Builder Garage was cute but not super engaging as a programmer and Unreal Engine dabbler, Mario Golf fucking sucked so bad I fucking hate that game, and I fucking hated Skyward Sword. so much god damned money down the toilet for no reason

Arbitrary unsolicited opinion response to each game mentioned:
  • ARMS: it’s fun and weird but also I didn’t own a Switch in 2017 so I never experienced the release version without updates. It’s a game I would like a lot more if I could convince couch friends to play it with me, but ç’ëšt łã vìė
  • Splatoon 2: it slaps, and I like it, and I’ve played it casually for a v long time now. I even liked single player BEFORE the octospan
  • Mario Tennis: I’m gonna be real I love this game even though the voice clips are cringe as hell. It’s just so so so much fun to play! Another one where I want more couch pals to face me in deadly tennis combat.
  • Mario Maker: I didn’t play the first one and I had a blast making in this! People uh seem to hate my levels though because they’re moderately challenging puzzlers with physics absurdity, shitposty shenanigans (with mild gotchas but trying to be more fair and measured instead of rage-inducing), and trial & error design. You could say… they’re the “Dark Sus Souls” of Mario Maker Levels (I would not say this). WOW can I ramble. I’ve been working on this post for days by this point. No idea why. Point is some of the Mario Maker 2 levels by others can get into weird pockets, and though I love that, I feel like after story mode the compelling content gradually gets harder to find. Still enjoyed though!
  • Clubhouse is fun, except the intros with the little plastic people talking, but I also get why they did that. It’s like having a box of toys basically.
  • Paper Mario is great and I truly did enjoy it. (I still liked Color Splash better though don’t flay me please)
  • Game Builder Garage: I really thought this one would hook me more, actually. I feel like there are some concepts in the mix I should carry on with for my own personal development, but as someone who already codes, it feels like it’s in a weird middle ground. Neat, but not particularly flexible, and also not exactly as fun for prototyping as I anticipated either.
  • Mario Golf: got it day one and still have only put ten minutes in, so I’m not sure I can comment. Initial impression is that the core gameplay isn’t the most fun or interesting, and the chaos modes that excited me require… people. I hate golf but boy do I like a wacky golf game. This might be it in some modes, but… I’ll have to see.
  • Skyward Sword: not gonna lie I actually had a really great time with it and felt like it finally shone the way it deserved to. I still think a bunch of the set up is kinda stupid but playing it? Fantastic. Better than I hoped. Happy to be here.

Yea and that July update was underwhelming to say the least.

I'm hoping that starting in November they get back to some sort of consistency. A monthly update with an NES, SNES, N64, and Genesis game would be awesome.

Obviously N64 games will probably get priority since Nintendo already announced a bunch of N64 games as (coming soon), but I hope we keep getting SNES games in the mean time.

Since this is my first post here: Hi all! Glad to be here, new Nintendo console, new forum smell :) After a dozen years (mostly) away I'm getting back to Nintendo consoles to make my gaming more family friendly as my daughter is starting to show interest what mommy and daddy are sometimes doing on their devices.

So I recently migrated from being the secondary user of my wife's Switch Lite to my own Switch. I transferred save data and my profile over from the Lite, but I'm not really sure how I activate the console as my primary?
Also, I've been using the system for a few days now, and it seems for players on my friends list I appear offline for many days (since I was last playing with the old Switch Lite), although I've been busy playing Super Metroid via NSO and getting some online hunts in MH Rise in. Has this anything to do with the above?
 
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have two extra Sw/Sh codes (one for each dog). I can't use them because I already got Shiny Zacian and I don't have Sword for Shiny Zama. Does anyone want them?

Edit: Shield code gone, I only have Sword/Shiny Zama left

I don't have Shield yet but I plan on getting it before the end of the year! I'll take a spare code, please ☺
 
If we're to never get a new Mario Kart on Switch then I propose Nintendo should give us Mii Kart instead. It worked for Mario Party after all!

Plus they can add some sort of weird SoL element to it like Tomodachi Life/Miitopia.

Hopefully that Chocobo Racing game is good.

Didn't think my post would spur what just happened in the past few pages XD

Anyway, CT scan went well, but it certainly was awkward when they had to inject me with that specific fluid. Gave me a very warm sensation.
 
I'd love an extra code for a Zacian since I have shield, all the emails I gave and none of them gave me a code unfortunately
