my partner and I stumbled into the original post and were reminiscing

and we are both certain there was a meme image associated at the time that looked a bit like the “are ya winnin son” situation

but we can’t find it. it doesn’t exist. it’s not on Know Your Meme and Google doesn’t know what the fuck we’re talking about but it’s real and we remember and we’re describing the same image but it doesn’t exist

please help us, or like tell me I’ve skipped tracks on the timeline or I’m crazy and it never existed

Welcome to October, all! Best month of the year. Very excited to get into some cooler weather and autumn goodness; the trees are starting to turn but it's been a bit slow this year.

Games I'm excited for this month: M+R2 looks great, and I have some other things I still need to finish (just barely started Trails from Zero). Persona 5 Royal would be an insta-pickup (and probably still will be eventually) but I've already done three playthroughs of that game so it can wait. I'm also excited for Harvestella although that's out Nov. 4th, so not quite in the month window.

Finally, I want to shout out my fellow departing mods. @blondkayvon, @BozPaggs, and @Donnie all leave today, @mazi stepped down a few weeks ago, and I of course ended my tenure just a few days ago. It wasn't smooth sailing by any means, but I really cannot overstate how much of a pleasure it was working with you all and I am so privileged to be able to call you all friends. Of course, this includes @Aurc, @Harina and @paranoodle, who joined later and I believe are all staying on. It goes without saying that I have complete faith in you and all the new recruits, and I hope you are able to continue doing your part in making this site great.

Thank you for your time as a great moderator, holo, and thank you everyone else who's departing - you're all gold. This was a very heartfelt section of the OP that I want to show my appreciation towards.

I’ve been a lover of Nintendo since my Pokémon x original Game Boy days, and now continue to play through the Switch. You should! The DLC is great and puts a nice cap on the story, plus has a really fun dungeon and boss fights

Yeah more games should take from CrossCode's difficulty options. The fact that even the puzzles have a difficulty setting is fantastic

The Mighty Bowser LEGO set was released today. And you know this 1-Up Boy had to order it first thing. 270 bucks is expensive, but I've loved all of the adult Nintendo sets so far and I know I'm gonna have a great time with it. Ordering at the LEGO website got a lot of neat bonuses too!

Really? Like ... what do these issues look like? Genuinely curious here, never been using a TV as my main monitor!

Generally I agree, yeah, PC on TV isn't the same as console on TV, and I do think a PS/Xbox has the edge over PC in one's home entertainment center. But I also wouldn't want to main a home console on my desk and monitor, so everything's got its specific purpose anyways.
