I'm giving it another whirl as well. Haven't really played it in about a year or so. I at least want to check out the new update. It is something chill to play, with little commitment, hopefully keeping me busy until SMT is out and I'll probably forget about it all over again.

Same here. I will not play it once SMT V is out.

I'm also returning to Animal Crossing ahead of the update. I'm thinking of a way to reorganise the layout of my whole island ahead of the free update, and then once I've played the update content for a couple of months, I'll likely upgrade to the new subscription. Hoping F Zero X isn't too far off so I can play that, Sin and Punishment, Phantasy Star IV, and the AC expansion.
 
My wife has a lot of friends in my Switch that are returning to AC and the Facebook groups have started to be more active. That Direct really revived the game again.

I don't think a single diehard AC fan expected the Direct to be as good as it was. We are all still shook.

Getting close to the end of The Great Ace Attorney games after returning to them from a few detours. I appreciate the attempt to shake the formula with the first game, but honestly I've just enjoyed the second one a lot more even though it's basically back to the usual Ace Attorney formula. Anyway, great entries in a great series.

One question to ask and debate is, if this DLC does really well, will Nintendo change their stance in huge updates instead of releasing a spin off or sequel?

This DLC is basically a new game, games like Mario Party and others get a sequel.

I honestly hope so. This new model lets them be more experimental too. Drop some quirky little $24.99 addition to your game and extend the longevity of it.
 
Detective Pikachu (2) follows the footsteps of the first and will be released in like 2025 after everyone has truly forgotten about it .
 
Speaking of Detective Pikachu, I was sorta hoping that the mainline games (or at least the remakes) adopted the same character design styles. I really like Detective Pikachu's Pixar-esque character designs.

Ahh...it's always with those sort of chores it happens. Perhaps you got cursed by an evil eye or something, man. Maybe carry a talisman around, just in case
 
I am a little sad Kirby 64 and the crystal shards isn’t at launch though. It is the best Kirby game afterall

After a few rounds of Mario 64, I’m not ashamed to say that the first N64 game I’ll be playing is Yoshi’s Story. Gotta go for that 100% melon run!

That’s something long overdue for myself as well, clearing all paths at least. Tho I’d say Dr Mario 64’s story is what I’ll do first. Sin&Punishment and Winback are also on my list
