Getting doctors to contact you is the worst. I deal with a similar issue right now and it seems literally impossible to get in direct contact with her before my appointment in December, which is insane.

So in my first 4 hours on Obra Dinn I viewed all the memories and managed to figure out 27 of 60 fates correctly. Gonna pour over the memories in chronological order over the weekend and aim to get all 60 fates correct. Fascinating game, though.

I've been playing videogames instead of going on dates for years and I was just put on heart medication a few months ago and my feet hurt anyway so like... 🤷‍♂️

Ouch, I sympathize. I had a stress fracture in my right foot a few months ago. It sucked. Hope you get better soon!

2022 really is set up to be an absolutely incredible year for Nintendo. Everyone always talks about getting a successor to 2017, but I think 2022 could actually be poised to surpass 2017.

LTTP but the AW delay is really unexpected, especially since it was already dated!

On one hand, a delay is good because it means they can get the time they need to finish the game. On the other... I feel like this could make the game more niche/ignored/forgotten about now that it'll be in the potentially uber-packed (for Nintendo in particular) 2022 instead of having December to itself. Plus... this could make 2022 really packed in terms of high-profile Nintendo-exclusive strategy games, like hot damn lol. AW, M+R 2, Triangle Strategy, and possibly a new FE... I honestly feel like the delay will hurt AW more than it'll help it in terms of visibility/sales.

Yep, also my preferred way to handle such a situation. I'm often times travelling with trains and the worst toilets you can find are either at the train station or inside the train. On such days I just drink not that much until I'm home.

My mom was quite the opposite. We had this 21 hour long car trip from Ankara Turkey to Strasbourg France every summer and she bought us whole cases of AA batteries for our Game Boys. She was relieved when rechargable batteries became affordable.

I have to say, through Dread she became one of my favourite video game characters. We don't have enough women as protagonists and even less of the caliber of Samus Aran.
 
My mother will be 60 next sunday. I bought her 2014 a Wii U, to watch Netflix and use some Wii Fit/Art Academy. I am looking through her Miiverse backup. She does not know that it was possible to get a backup and that i have all of her stuff. She made ~ 100 Paintings in 2014/2015 and then had enough. I can't wait to see her reaction. <3

It is really interesting that she made art of Kirby/Pikmin. She does not play games. She wrote under her Pikmin post: "What is this..?"

So I started the evening by causing my grill to catch on fire burning all of the chicken and somewhat less importantly the hair on my right hand.

Then I probably or nearly get salmonella because the damn meat thermometer told me it was cooked but apparently the other side of the bone was more frozen so that part wasn't.

Then I'm doing Halloween decorations stuff out at the front of my house and bang my head into a stupid flag holder that I haven't even once used since I bought this house, seriously what kinda flag am I supposed to display, I'm not a huge fan of my country. Anyway I hit it so bad I'm having a little trouble keeping my balance and my wife has to give me a concussion test.


So that was a fun night.

Thanks, I don't think I'm concussed.

And things are looking up, the kids are asleep and the dishes are done and my sweet, sweet bed awaits. Ahhhh sleep.

Same boat for me. When I was little, my parents bought me a Gameboy color for the sole reason to keep me occupied on a long ass flight from Canada to Nigeria 🤣

Update: I had the audacity to try and be a normal hygienic person and take a shower, so what do I see between the two shower curtains right after I shampooed my hair? That's right, the unmistakable silhouette of a thankfully medium sized wolf spider. So I frantically but carefully hop out and spray the whole damn curtain with bleach, completely losing sight of the bastard the second I started to spray. Meanwhile the shower is still on and it's getting the whole bathroom wet while I run to find a roll of paper towels. So there I am, butt naked, holding a roll of paper towels in one hand and a spray bottle of bleach in the other looking for this damn spider somewhere between the shower curtains all the while slipping on the now soaking wet floor.

I never did find it. I thankfully had the good sense to put a towel down so I don't slip and break my neck because this was starting to look like one of those nights but I did manage to face my arachnophobia (which had been improving lately! but this is probably going to be a setback) and finish my shower very, very quickly.

Might skip my shave tonight.

In short: Things did not get better
 
I got lost after getting a powerup in Dread again and I’m just going to shelve it for now. Might restart my save because I’ve never been this bad at a Metroid game before. I want to go back to the Castlevania Advance Collection and see if I can’t finish Circle of the Moon this weekend.
