While I do think this comes down to them actually needing more time to finish the game . I do think this is also scheduling related, was always weird they were gonna release two games on the same day in December when pretty much neither were needed especially as post black friday releases. Next year is obviously packed but I still think they could find somewhere it better fits still.
Big Brain Academy, which honestly who knows how that does considering brain age and some other game results in Japan, but definitely something I'm much happier being "dumped/sent to die" in post-black friday , right next to gta physical, period.I genuinely forgot.
What is the other December game?

Very different genres, they may both have strategy but AW is more about self contained puzzles you adapt to in the moment, TS is long term development and cultivationSad to see but if the game turns out better that way I'm fine with it.
Spring just sounds like a bad time for it. With triangle strategy coming.
I know I loved advance wars already on gba. Still I feel like many gamers might have to choose between them (depending what spring in the end means).Very different genres, they may both have strategy but AW is more about self contained puzzles you adapt to in the moment, TS is long term development and cultivation
Same, well plus my other criteria(finish Ace attorney 3) should happen this werkendI realized I can get Danganronpa at launch now that this is delayed.
I think this is the first time a Nintendo game with a fixed date has been delayed in a while, right?
The visuals aren’t going to be changed. The game, graphically, did not get the best reception at E3 and being absent from this last Direct was very suspect. I’m glad it’s delayed, and I hope the extra time is spent addressing the issues people had.

I don’t think tweaks are going to change what some people are taking issue with. By far the biggest criticism of the visuals is they aren’t in 2D and not using pixel art. Visuals getting improved from reveal to launch is pretty typical of Nintendo-publisher software, so I think that was a given, even before the delay.I agree, but they can certainly be tweaked.

Ahh fair enough.I mean, yeah, that’d take a complete overhaul which is not at all realistic. I remember reading over and over that the models were too clean and plastic looking. That is something that is definitely addressable within their development time, and is what I was referring to with graphical tweaks.

That's a big delay. The game must have been in pretty rough shape. I was really looking forward to getting this in December, but hopefully the extra time will help make it as good as it can be.
Funny, I recall the most common criticism being the flat toylike look and lack of detail. The pixel art complaints seemed to come entirely from previous Advance War players.I don’t think tweaks are going to change what some people are taking issue with.
