Since it is not livestreamed, don't expect a big third party exclusive reveal. But maybe something on the caliber of Nier Automata or persona 5 (highly requested port). Or FF9 remake (although multiplatform)...Nah, scrap that, that seems too big of a reveal for a video drop.
Yeah the fact that it's not live streamed really puts a damper on things, makes it seem like there cant be big reveals.

Truly the Switch will BECOME AS GODS

There is a world where Mario + Rabbids 2 is the biggest game project ever involving a Nintendo IP. Breath of the Wild was huge and all by Nintendo standards, but we're talking about Ubisoft Milan/Paris with at least 3 other studios helping (Montpellier, Chengdu, and Pune) working on it for at least 4 years. Ubisoft projects have a scope that Nintendo doesn't even want to touch. It's kind of crazy to think about. I think the game could surprise some people.
I said this yesterday but ubi would be a massive asset to nintendo. Makes BOTW seem small by comparison.

How would you feel if tomorrow's Direct had nothing for you except GoldenEye 007? I remember you being interested in that. And no, this sadly isn't me teasing anything.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I would be ecstatic over the moon, but Russia is still in conflict with Ukraine and if that's still the reason holding back a game like Advance Wars that still hasn't gotten so much as a tweet and a shadow drop several months after it's gone gold, I'm not holding my breath for GoldenEye reveal. Even a Portal Collection shadowdrop would be great, but the very title of Partner Showcase is just so very toxic to me and I imagine a great deal to others. A number of ports from sixth and seventh gen would be fine, but hell at this point I can't imagine anything larger than Monster Hunter possibly making this worthwhile showing up here that would have been better suited to a General Direct branding.

Little appealed to me in the span of games announced July through October in those four showcases, in which I only ever purchased Monster Hunter Rise, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and downloaded the demo of Age of Calamity. It may be overly dramatic and hyperbole, but my expectations are less than rock bottom and I have that Dewey Wilkerson reaction saved in my bookmarks for a quick driveby post in less than twenty four hours.

Disappointed that we will have to wait a while for first party but it is what it is. Not sure what to expect from third parties that would be frogcore besides Mario + Rabbids 2

I would say the safest bet is to expect no first party games and be pleasantly surprised if Nintendo smuggles one or two in, then expect 1-2 to show up and be burned when none do.
Yeah im not expecting a new announcement but some titles need an update on.

It's funny, the first Rabbids is as much of a 'real game' as any second/third party title like it but I too feel like this one might be a lot more... substantial... and it could surprise many (including me) on that front?? It's why I keep figuring it's the exact sort of 'big title' Nintendo might see as strong enough to be their "surprise" E3 showing while everything else (MPT, S3, etc.) lays low for a little while longer.

I get the desire for blowout reveals, even the small scale practical need to maybe fill out the 2022 slate just a little more but I can't exactly blame Nintendo for saying "this Mario game is turning out great, howsabout we give it the showcase it deserves!"

Oh, also I am replying to compliment your ultra-specific profile pic-- a personal favorite!!

As someone who has never played a Persona game but has always wanted to, are Persona 3, 4 and 5 all solid games?
Big post will become lost, but eh

The Persona games are excellent games and fun time sinks. In my personal opinion; P4 > P3 > P5. All of them have a fun cast, a cool setting, awesome music and some cool stuff like social links, Persona/Demon fusion and cool boss battles. The only bad parts are some problematic takes on LBHTIQ characters, the most disappointing story imo with Kanji in 4. Some people also don't like the school/jobs/social link/going into dungeons as it takes some time management, but that's more of a personal thing.

In regards to the games themselves...

Persona 3 (I played the FES version) is a good game and a great introduction to the series. The core cast is good, the setting moodier compared to the other two games, but ultimately its a great ride. In terms of QoL P3P might be the least "accessible" title of the three as P4 and especially P5 are far modern games, but even with a bit less smooth experience P3 is an excellent game. Honestly I have wanted to replay 3 for a long time, so insert Akihiko meme "I've been waiting for this!"

Persona 4 the Golden (PC) In the end the best Persona game. It's a game where the core cast has a bit more zip in terms of characters and they're a fun bunch overall. (Rise is only thirsty as fuck) And yeah, I personally love Kanji, but the handling of his sexuality should have been better. Way better. It has its silly Japan tropes, but as a game to play its really tight, I feel the game offers more freedom than a P3 or P4 and more importantly the music is pretty damn good. It also has the protag living with his uncle and niece, who have a really cool dynamic with the protaganist. I have the Golden on PC, but I really want to replay it on Switch. That's how much I like it.

Persona 5 (both vanilla and Royal) in the end ranks third in my list, but do not let that stop you; Royal is the definitive version because Morgana backs off a bit and doesn't order you to sleep. It a great refinement of the previous Persona's; it has a fun cast, the dungeons are pretty cool, the extra content in Royal is cool and more important, the music is amazing. Life will change, Rivers in the Desert, Last Surprise etc. are extremely catchy. Plus Persona 5 has, one can not deny it, style.

Hope this helps!

I don't know how much of a hot take this is, but I'd rather get P3 FES than Portable.
It's not even a warm take, most P3 fans wanted a full on remake to take elements from both FES and Portable to make a definitive version of the game.

I'm curious about P4G and the fact that it's the favorite entry for a lot of people here is hyping me a lot. I really wish it shows up tomorrow. It's day 1 for me

my hopes for tomorrow--

-Dragon Quest news (REALLY hoping X offline gets localized. Otherwise, news on Treasures and 3 HD would be lovely)
-Mario+Rabbids 2 news/release date (if news drops on Wednesday for this instead of tomorrow I'll still be very pleased)
-Persona Persona Persona
-Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
-New Story of Seasons game
-Some surprise (any game we don't know about that looks/sounds fun)

WILD things that probably won't come true

Ace Attorney (collection of 4-6, AA7, or GAA3 would all be welcome)
Mega Man Battle Network and/or Star Force Collection
New Fire Emblem game cause Koei Tecmo/Gust are "partners" lol

I see a lot of people saying Bayo 3 definitely wouldn't drop tomorrow, and I sorta get that pov, but I do think it would be a great closer to a partner presentation, and if the game makes 2022, it's about time to hear something about it. But we'll see!

Edit-- Advance Wars could show up here too, imo since it's by Wayforward. But we shall see if it's time for that

For me, in terms of opening and closing acts for the Partner Showcase, I'd hope for Big Things. That means you have Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope either as the opener or closing act, and then a surprise announcement of a new third-party title for Switch.

Frame it with new stuff and not the wave of ports that are coming, that's not to dismiss the ports - there's definitely some I'd be interested in; but Sparks of Hope is going to be one of the few big third-party exclusives Switch gets, and it'd be nice to see something else big and new from a third-party. Something new from Square Enix, or one of the leaked titles from Capcom, would fit the bill.

Nate predictions video was basically " don't expect anything remotely interesting" lol

Scorching hot take but P3P is the best version of the game because it's shorter and doesn't have the inconsequential "overworld"
I agree, the static overworld screen and pointer may not be as loved, but it made the gameplay a lot quicker along with full party control; It's why I prefer P3P over P3FES.

My expectations for tomorrow's 25 minute Partners Showcase

--Bayonetta 3 - trailer + release date
--Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope - trailer + release date
--P3R5ON4 - Announcement trailer
--Sonic Frontier - Switch gameplay trailer
--Hollow Knight Silksong - Trailer + Seasonal Release Date
--MH Sunbreak - Trailer
-- Cuphead - Delicious Last Course Trailer
--Then some 'out-of-nowhere- (my dream) announcements like a Megaman Legends Collection, Sonic Adventure Collection, Ace Attorney, FF Pixel Remasters/FF7 Ever Crisis, Professor Layton Collection, Tactics Ogre Remaster, things like that.

I love GVG, and I've been listening to Derrick for years, but why the heck did he show up to their Partner Showcase predictions saying the Mario Kart DLC could be here?! Are we all just that desperate to finally get more courses? (I know I am)

I haven't really been following the news, are there any rumors or confirmations of possible games that will be shown in this Direct Mini Partner Showcase?
