When will the next Direct air?

Assuming they are all correct, I think we are getting a Mario something that has the Movie trailer, M&R2, and maybe a first party Mario game which would slide into the holiday slot.

New Minions movie comes out July 1st, which would be the perfect slot to place the first Mario movie trailer. Hence the Mario something on June 29th.

All I really hope for is a second n64 NSO roadmap(which is totally likely) and some small surprises. Mini wouldn’t bug me

that's what ilm thinking to but with Mario kart DLC and strikers updates as well
 
By the way. If the protesting continues on into Monday and it’s still intensely heated.

They won’t do anything/post anything. At least I wouldn’t expect them too. They’ll do what they do worst. Stay silent on these issues cause god forbid they take the right side.

No Bayo 3 info is a possibility? 🤔
Odd if the game is coming this year, unless they have another presentation.

Yeah I've been on board the Mario direct ever since Nate confirmed M&R2 but not Bayo 3.

Makes perfect sense to me, especially if they drop a October release date for M&R2.

Yeah, if the mood in the country gets worse or even remains this bad they’re just going to go radio silent again for a week or two. That’s what they always do.

I wish they’d have a spine and speak up on these things for once.

I keep forgetting about these. Yeah, that is a sizeable amount of information on one character to wrap a showcase around.

I'm going into the weekend setting my expectations at that. If it's something else, great! If not, I love some Mario so shrugs I'm good with that.

I see now. Maybe that’s the info everyone has. Relates to Mario + Rabbids. No details on actual first party stuff developed and produce by Nintendo.

From what I understand the information that has gotten out there is that there is some Nintendo presentation next week that features (at least) Mario Rabbids from Ubisoft, with a spooky release date, and Tactics Ogre from Square Enix. Which is why nobody knows whether it is a partner showcase or regular Direct

Nintendo always has so much Mario content in their pipeline to do a Mario aniversary Direct every year lol.

It’s absolutely not a Mario specific presentation because Tactics Ogre is showing up there. Not yet convinced it’ll be a Mini ether; definitely not a Partner Showcase; and I still think whatever the presentation is will have Bayonetta 3. We’ll see how things play out next week though, not much longer to wait and see.
 
@NateDrake This might be a dumb question but, if you're waiting to post the predictions until an announcement is made, what if it's a Mini? Mini's don't get announced beforehand, so I'm assuming to wait until after normal announcement time on Monday and if there's nothing by then you're gonna post it?

The difference between a Mini and a General is minimal. Partner, sure; as it has a bigger focus on third-party games, primarily.

The intent is: enjoy what is offered. People are down on a Direct that has yet to even be announced. If you had no idea about the show and it dropped next week as a Partner... would people be down on it? Or are they down on it because it doesn't fit what they hoped June would bring?

Sony had a SoP without any Sony games and the show was excellent.
 
The best thing would be for June 29th to come along and...nothing. No Direct. No Mini. No Partner Showcase. No tweets by Nintendo. No Youtube uploads. Just uneasy silence. The hours ticking by. 10am? Nothing. Noon? Nothing. 6pm? Not a word.

Then on June 30 at the stroke of midnight, Nintendo puts out a simple tweet. "Yeah".
 
I'm fine with Mario direct so long as it includes the full trailer and title reveal for The Legend of Zelda: Mario's Minish Minions

I mean it is a full year. And we still have normally a September direct for the last part of 2022 and early 2023. So I don't expect everything next week just some games for August and perhaps October. And something early 2023. I actually can't recall what we normally get in an E3 direct.

Don't get me wrong; the whole reason I said "had" is because of course they will announce something soon. If 2/3 of the TBA games come out we had twelve games this year at least. Even if one of them doesn't make it I do think we get more games soon announced. And I didn't even look at the third party games

Maybe I understood you wrongly though. Anyway, I do think something is happening next year and I think it is a full direct. That said I wouldnt be disappointed if it is nothing as I have quite some games to play still :p

Look man I just want FF Pixel and P3/4 on Switch. These should be the literal most obvious slam dunk announcements ever but after the torture of the last few months/years, here we still are. I’m about ready to throw in the towel on those (particularly Persona) if they’re not at the next Direct but for that there needs to be a next Direct lol

Tom is kind of right... he's conflating one thing as evidence there is no Direct. And that conclusion is wrong.

Things are very fluid right now, i bet bayo in 2022 isnt even a certainty for platinum at this point. I think nintendo will just keep their cards close to their chest this year
