Spring doesn’t start until late March so it won’t be releasing on March 3rd.
Haha this reminds me of that ridiculous argument about seasons on Era

I would say that if the internal release date was March 3, they would consider it a spring rather than winter release

Anyway here’s the typical Pre-E3 Direct eShop Sale

Haven’t listened yet, I’ll let you know when I do this afternoon

Just saw that! LOL

I love them, but I'm not a fan of their clickbaity titles. I understand that's kinda how the whole vtuber game works, but I still hate it. I'd still hate it even if they turn out to be right.
After hearing what they say about the June 29th Direct, it doesn't sound clickbaity to me...? It seems they are confident that there is no general Direct until September apart from Splatoon Direct or Bayonetta trailer

Do they explain why? Nothing against them but I'm also not clicking that on principle.
I watched the segment on that and they were just speculating that Nintendo wants to change things up for the sake of surprising people. They also mentioned that without the ESA, Nintendo probably doesn't want to share space with others.

Basically, they were just guessing even if the title suggests otherwise.

Pre-E3 direct sale just went live

DQ11S on sale for $35 digital, it’s a GOAT status game please play it, there’s a demo too
one of the few turn based games I enjoyed. Still didn't beat it unfortunately. I should really change that.

One interesting thing they said was that making successive, smaller directs is harder on the team than making one big direct. But then again, in their words, Nintendo doesn't care.

makes sense cause even if its smaller you still have to sort out the contracts , do the recording and then editing which can take more time if you break it up over many videos

folks.... you can't just make me believe in Donkey Kong again. Its against the rules you know?

According to Kit & Krysta, there is NO June Direct:

I imagine (hope?) they are just speculating and that it could still happen next week. I BELIEVE IN YOU NATE!!! lol

P.S: I did not watch this entire thing. It just went up and it's very long but that title... oh boy!

EDIT: Just their prediction lol.

Kit said he didn’t like that people could predict the Direct dates. Dang

And he’s thinking maybe Nintendo is rethinking the approach (dates of them it sounds like)

piggy backing on this to say that this game rules and I have beaten it twice and guided my partner through their playthrough over the course of the last year. I'm someone who generally does not play things more than once.

it's clickbait. unfortunately they do this for most of their titles.

It’s just prediction

I haven't heard the podcast, but it seems like Kit and Krysta are putting lots of faith in the "patterns man" philosophy, so if the early June direct is missing they assume the next one should be Sept. Yet at the same time, it seems to contradict Kit's "expectations have been reset and anything could happen now" tweet.

I also find it odd that being ex-Nintendo staff, they don't seem to keep tabs on the most well-known Nintendo insiders.

I've also beaten it twice, once and PS4 and once on Switch. The extra 2D content on Switch is amazing! Probably one of my top 5 switch games.

I haven't listened to this one yet, but in past videos they've barely acknowledged their clickbaity titles.

I just watched their video and their arguments for why there's no Nintendo direct is:
1. Nintendo likes to surprise people. Their timings have become formulaic.
2. Nintendo might not have much to announce for this year. The only thing that needs resolving in Bayonetta 3, which they could do with a launch date trailer.
3. June 29 is a weird date. Too close to the July 4 weekend, so people might be on vacation.
4. They don't think it's likely Nintendo will do Nintendo directs in consecutive weeks.

They unfortunately do this with all of their podcast titles. I’m not sure they know much of anything.

In conclusion, nobody can predict Nintendo, not even Ex-Employes from Nintendo itself.

Sooo…. What do we think will be tomorrow’s thing that sends this thread into chaos for 6 pages until Nate comes and reassures us?

It’s so odd for Kit to say he believes Nintendo could be changing the dates because of how people predict things. But then he won’t believe in the 29th because that wouldn’t make much sense with how we got Xenoblade this week.

Wouldn’t that be Nintendo changing itb

I’m trying to save some extra money currently but will get some next week and maybe will get the first AI finally when I am able to and maybe a couple of other things from the sale

I hope we get a 20 minute Xenoblade section detailing the jiggle physics of Mio’s ears in the next Direct.
