I remember feeling like half the time I played it I spent climbing on stuff and it just felt so slow and then sometimes when it rained it just got even more annoying

it's a shame really since the world seems nice but so much of the actual process of playing it just felt so grating to me

If you don't like the climbing at all then I don't think I could ever convince you to enjoy the game, but the game always intends and guides you to use the jump button, take advantage of horizontal slopes on mountains, use updrafts, wear climbing gear, and upgrade stamina to speed it up. As far as I'm concerned it's a part of the game's progression and it works fine (aside from the rain, which I think needed another equipment upgrade).

It's definitely not for me either. I recognize it's a quality game for people who are into the sort of thing that it is, but man, I do not like that thing. Or almost any open world game, for that matter.

OK here’s my serious top 5:

1. Ocarina of Time/Breath of the Wild (TIE)
2. Super Metroid
3. Super Mario 64
4. Super Mario Bros 3
5. Half Life 2 (+ episodes)/Resident Evil 4 (TIE)

(Notice how I sneaked in 7 games :p)

I simply can’t choose between OoT and BotW for #1. Both games were earth-shattering, transformative experiences for me, and both games ruined other video games for me for years.

If I’m being honest, I’m not sure I’ve gotten over BotW yet. I still go back to it from time to time and discover more cool stuff I didn’t know I could do in it.

While it's my least favorite 3d Zelda (tie with SS) game undeniably broke the Zelda fan bubble.
Though it's interesting how, 5 years later, people at Zelda fan forums doesn't seem to care as much as general public. Maybe it's like me with ER franchise.
I really really like Skyrim though I don't consider myself a ER fan I don't care about playing other games. Don't see myself visiting a ER fan community.

I just got into the Direct hype in 2020 and feel bad I missed out watching all the past directs live. Though the past few directs have just been super exciting watching right away, and not just randomly seeing stuff later like the 1st BOTW2 trailer lol. I really cant wait until next week now

Let’s see, could be another Three Hopes “1 Day to Go” sort of tweet. Maybe an AI Somnium Files reminder (though that probably comes on Friday). These have usually been afternoon or next day tweets, but let’s hope the new Switch Sports customizations are the AM tweet to really send people over the edge.

Ok, I have to take an L on this one. Gonna be completely honest.

I should not have said the world “revealed”… I totally meant “mentioned”. As in, which games were not mentioned in the Direct.

The answers to my question were Just Dance 2022 and Fatal Frame.

However, I did word the question incorrectly, and that is totally on me. You are correct that those are two games not revealed in that specific Direct. I’m so sorry.
