Persona 5 Royal skips Switch but instead Switch is the only console to get Persona 3 FES.
Persona 5 Royal skips Switch but instead Atlus reveals a full 3D, gorgeous looking followup to Radiant Historia for Switch. All is forgiven.

Unironically all I need is P4G for the Switch. I’ll be bummed that the others aren’t coming but P4G is the last game on my list of favorite portable games that aren’t on the Switch for some reason.

I have the Buldak spicy stew style chicken ramen with that horrible rooster on the package that wants to destroy my insides. I do enjoy it though.
I recently bought the red package over my usual black one...I regretted. And now what am I gonna do with all this Ramen I can't eat? Eat it anyways and suffer.

We have the red one here too. It’s not difficult to prepare but it doesn’t have the soup to take some of the edge off. I’m sure there’s some alternate instructions out there that might have some ratio changes that let you prepare it stew style.

Man, there are too much I'd want from Atlus for Switch that's not named Persona:
  • Radiant Historia sequel, this is always be top on my list
  • A new modern looking Snowboard kids
  • A glorious return of Demikids!
  • A brand new Growlanser that retains that 90s anime look and that awesome battle mechanics that reminds me of Europa Universalis
  • Another Devil Survivor title! With romance options this time
  • A remake of Stella Deus!
  • Since we can't have map making on Switch, an Etrian Odyssey in a different genre. A Diablo-esque dungeon crawler perhaps...

I just put chili in the Crock Pot and now I have to wait a few hours before I can enjoy that for dinner. I was really looking forward to spending that time being incredibly bored while doing nothing, but then I remembered that @Irene RUDELY encouraged us to play video games but making a wonderful backlog challenge thread where they put in a lot of effort and are even keeping the first post updated with everyone's lists and progress. Foolishly, I voluntarily participated in that thread and said I would finish both Tokimeki Memorial AND Policenauts in the next two weeks. Seeing the effort Irene has put in makes me want to commit to the promise, so thanks for ruining my plans, Irene. Instead of staring at a wall until my chili was ready, I'm going to play a video game. 😡
Wait, did this thread end up getting made? I'm genuinely so eager to participate! Final motivation I need to finally beat Earthbound

Before Everything Everywhere All At Once came on, the cinema showed an interesting interview with Michelle Yeoh, and now I need to find the time to watch some 80s and 90s Hong Kong cinema.

A broken Switch Lite was listed near me for $50. Here’s the description of the problem…any potential diagnosis from you all? Wondering if it’s fixable.

This Switch Lite is clean and was purchased new, used for a short while until something happened to where the screen doesn't show. Not cracked, something internal. It still charges and turns on because we hear the clicky sounds, but again, will need underlying diagnosis for screen to be fixed. We're moving in 2 weeks and I don't have time or money to do that. $50 or best offer I don't want to just throw it away. Thanks!
(sorry Dragoncaine no clue how I accidentally quoted you there)

Michelle Yeoh isn’t in it, but I’d recommend Chungking Express.

Why are they all Toad
It’s the best team. Because of how the game is balance. Speed is way to useful. Which is a major problem with the game for me. For all the changes, they made the game be more slower paced and technical but the way they did it just made speedesters way better. Also with the way Bom Bom plays, your shooting stats really don’t matter all that which is also funny.

I gotta say, the gameplay is rather disappointing right now compared to OG strikers and Charged. Hopfully they improve it in patches.

Sunbreak demo is doing a good job telling me I need to pick up Switch Skills again before the expac comes out
Demo is out? I don't see it :( maybe not in my region

Edit: OH found it under the Rise eShop page

The Switch has a touchscreen, mapmaking is feasible for a possible Etrian Odyssey game. Also don't forget the Trauma series and ports of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Dragon's Crown.

Watch "Tomorrow Never Dies" as well. She's great in it. Hell, everyone is great in it. It's my favorite Bond movie.

Horizon Forbidden West is really disappointing me.

For a sequel that took 5 years to come out I expected more but it’s very much a “more of the same” style sequel that’s pretending BotW never happened.

And some of the improvements make the game actively worse imo. The original had climbing only on the highlighted yellow marked areas, and this made it a little more free. But now cliff faces are just seemingly randomly chosen to be climbable and I’ve turned on the accessibility option to highlight them at all times because otherwise you’re just constantly scanning with your focus to find them.

Any Spiritfarer fans out there? The demo has me smitten and it’s on sale for $9 on the eshop

do i play at 900p on Switch with option for handheld or enjoy 4K for free on my Xbox with gamepass…

im leaning towards the former with the kind of game it is tbh, nice to take handheld. 30fps vs 60fps is the real killer.

Just get it for “free”, enjoy the frame boost (the best reason), and support another dev that hasn’t gotten the payday from Microsoft

Do you guys ever fall into a gaming rut? Feels like nothing can hold my attention lately
Yes. Quite often, so I spend time with other hobbies and just posting here.

Then a game comes that catches my attention and I’m able to fully complete it. Like recently Valkyria Chronicles 4. Took a few weeks but I got around 50 hours of fun out of it.

I feel like I ought to write a medium article for how often this question gets asked over the years ha, but yes! Totally normal. I drift in and out of different hobbies.

Sometimes I’m buying books while playing games, buying games while reading books, doing neither, running, cooking, it’s a cycle.

You mean play it to give the game hours to give them a bigger game pass payout? Did they actually speak out about a lack of success on Game Pass or you just mean in general?
To be fair, I don’t know how gamepad pays devs. I assume much is upfront? Was thinking could give directly to a dev that’s not on game pass is all since you have paid your subscription for that already.

Ohhh, I misread “another dev” as in Thunder lotus being “yet another” who hasn’t been paid out, rather than a separate dev‘s game. Gotcha :)

Pretty often. I didn't used to, but when the Switch began amassing this insanely large library of lovely indie games it got hard for me to keep up. I used to have room to breathe around big games and Indies alike, but now there's so much and everything overlaps that I have a hard time choosing what to tackle next due to the sheer mass of it all and will end up sorta going through periods where I'm too intimidated/burnt to pick something to play.

Which is why I'm happy for @Irene's thread! 😁

4 toads is the best team composition imo

Didn’t read weekend fami I see
In my defense I don't have the game and didn't even play the demo beyond the tutorial

I think it looks and plays nice enough on Switch that I wouldn't worry about the graphical improvements
