I waited too long to watch the Devolver presentation. Freaking hilarious, I think I love it more than their last one.
 
I somehow managed to rip the left thumb rubber protection on a third party joy con, it's falling off during gameplay 💀 the thumbstick itself is fine, just the rubber is loose

Oh well

I think I'll try buying random cheap thumb grips to see if something keeps it in place

Wow. I knew it was about the single SKU in Europe, didn’t realize it was for AU too. Are you AU then judging by that price? I had no idea they priced their digital titles higher than retail. That’s ridiculous.
 
For some reason my notifications for some threads keep stopping so I missed like the last five hours of Direct Speculation and hoooooo boy what a catch-up that shit has been 🤯

Yeah I’m Australian. $90 is the price they’re set at for retail, but it’s ultimately up to the retailers, and undercutting each other has got us to the place we’re at. Digital just hasn’t followed suit and lowered prices.

This goes across all platforms too, not just Nintendo.

This just made me think of that episode of Rocko's Modern Life where the characters made a tv show and one of the episodes was just a half hour broadcast of a jar of mayonnaise and the nation was captivated by it.

That's the vibe I imagine a weekly @Mr_No_U segment to have.

Your best way to buy them would probably be vouchers buying Famicon+another game I guess? (vouchers count buying the bundle of the two games as one)

I thought Xbox Showcase meant the 'treehouse' they did yesterday not the main event which iirc nothing leaked, I confused one with each other (their Treehouse , is Xbox Showcase Extended)

Just been playing multiplayer games here and there but most of my times has been dedicated to working out lately. Perhaps when my steam deck arrives I'll play more games again

A week won't make a difference. Pokemon will sell the same amount regardless. Pokemon will be on shelves for Black Friday whether or not it releases on the 18th or 25th.

The main showcase had a lot of leaks, hollow knight, persona, halo stuff in MFS, the for a expansion
I don’t know that there were any actual surprises if you saw the leaks
Unless you’re saying the extended show didn’t leak but there was nothing to leak from that anyway

Nintendo and Gamefreak could sell a bag of toenail clippings with "Pokemon" written on it in Sharpie, and it would sell.

They release before Black Friday so it is stocked and ready to go for Black Friday. (Which also lasts like a month leading up to it these days)

This was a very weird article to see pop up this morning because I can't keep up with all the things coming from Japan and indies this year. Has !E3 been that much of a let down for 2022?

The biggest games are all getting delayed which is impacting the greater health of the game market. May was down compared to last year (only one new game cracked the top 30) and there are big concerns Call of Duty might slip the following year which some are concerned will have a knock on effect.

The games we generally care about more here are doing great. I’m about to be drowning in new games the next few months.

The headline kind of doesn’t gear you what to expect from the article, but skimming it, it’s definitely a good overview of a lot of pandemic/business stress that’s been talked about these past two years.

Not E3 didn’t win over many people also yeah.

I actually agree, despite hating a lot of the stuff surrounding E3. But there's an E3 sized hole in June and if something is going to fill it anyway, it better be the real thing.
