When will the next Direct air?

Howard Lincoln led on Seattle baseball fans for over 2 decades. At one point he let the quiet part slip and said the ownership was more concerned with fiscal health than winning a World Series. Guess that’s why he was with Nintendo for so long.

Kinda curious what the opener and closer will be, and this seems like as good an option as any. I'm thinking probably Donkey Kong or BoTW2 (again) for one of the two, Fire Emblem for the other. But Mario could also be an option
 
I hope mainline FE is the closer, that would be epic.

...I think I'd also shit myself in excitement at the sight of a new FE, so this way makes it so I can clean up without missing part of the Direct /s
 
Nah 3D Mario won’t be here. You’re not getting BotW 2, Metroid Prime and 3D Mario from Nintendo in one direct. 3D Mario is suited for a September or the February 2023 direct and release that holiday.

DK has a much better chance or 2D Mario, especially if we get a huge trailer for BotW 2 and a teaser for Prime 4

I still believe in an announcement this week, but honestly any day from tomorrow to Tuesday is a possibility

I still believe in tomorrow. Today felt busy by Nintendo with 2 reviews, previews, FE demo and Xenoblade preorders. Kind of clears the way for an announcement.
 
I think we could still possibly get something tomorrow but definitely leaning towards next Monday or Tuesday
 
If there’s no announcement tomorrow it has nothing to do with Summers game fest. The announcement for a direct is hours before game fest starts.

I highly doubt they would. This was something nobody could have predicted. Nintendo wouldn't remove something because of a leak.

It does not line up with my information.

Maybe my info is wrong/outdated. Or the embargo is, in fact, unrelated.

I'll seek clarity tomorrow.
 
While I always expected the Direct to be next week, it's curious to me that a few indies just get shadow-dropped on that day. Not sure how they would integrate that into the Direct. These shadow-drop announcements seem more like something that get would get revealed in Treehouse segments on Day 2 or 3 with a gameplay segment to accompany them if at all.

Are we sure there isn't another game conference or SGF thing on the 15th?

When Nate first did his YouTube poll I had initially took it as the direct was happening on June 21st week. I got roped in to believing it would be earlier by others.

Nate never admitted the 15th was a hint

Well that's not really a particularly high oath
 
I was just thinking about posting how Nate’s hints don’t line up with next week. Especially “soon-ish” just yesterday. But with the shadow drop info we have it does seem that the 15th is likely. Nate’s a good dude and as reliable as they come, so as he mentioned he will look into why his info differs. But either way I think we can all be confident a direct is in June

The direct in June is guaranteed. But yes, Nate’s hints to me didn’t line up until June 16th the earliest or later. The TMNT and now Neon White threw a wrench to make next week seem more plausible. But maybe none are related to a Nintendo direct.

I agree, I mean we just kind of took that leakers word he had more games coming out the same day as neon white and that would corroborate the fact a Nintendo Direct is that day. It could be possible just those two games happen to be releasing on 6/15-with a possible reveal tomorrow or on Twitter.

You might be right. Kind of like him saying yeah this is still technically June with July right there on the cusp.

It was like a week or two ago he said “soon-ish” and this week he’s still saying “soon-ish”. It might be the last week of June.
 
There’s 21 dates left in June, ten of which are Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursdays. One of those dates is tomorrow so that’s out which leaves nine. We are so close and whenever it happens it will be exciting. We should just see what tomorrow (SGF) and next week brings.
