I'm so sorry to hear, I hope it was a peaceful and easy transition for her. It's coming up on one year from when my grandma passed away, and never think you don't have a good network of family and friends to lean on during this time. Even here, you can rely on us to support you in these times if you need it 💜

My condolences to you and your family. Through grief and mourning we find the closure we need to celebrate a life, especially one as well lived as hers.

So I’ve bought Subnautica on the recent sale and have been absolutely enthralled by this game! It is such a good mix of exploration, adventure, a sense of progression and a straight-up horror show. And I love how the story is told so „indirectly“, with clues, radio transmissions, reports, stuff you find … it’s genius! Anyone else here a fan?

Also, do we have a sense of when the big N will do their direct?

Subnautica is so good. The game just keeps getting bigger and bigger in scope, it's ridiculous.
 
On the Switch, has anyone completed the physical PAL/EU edition of Life Is Strange True Colors? I know that in the NTSC/US edition, you can only play up to Chapter 3 before having to download the rest. Some users on the EU Amazon sites claim that all you need to download is the DLC. I'd love to add the PAL/EU version to my collection if it includes the entire game even without the DLC!

This intrigues me. Is the game fit to play in small chunks on a commute?

My condolences for your loss, I hope her passing was peaceful and you cherish the memories you have made throughout the years. It's always hard losing family members so don't be afraid of reaching out to family and friends if things get difficult.

Oh, absolutely! It’s the only way I play for the most part. You can do another trip, explore another area, do another trip to collect more resources, and pause again … only problem might be that you wanna keep playing after your commute 😅

It is! Just found the Lost River and couldn’t believe how much there still is to discover! Am 25h in. How long did it take for you to finish it?

I was really impressed with Subnautica but I'm far too much of a chicken to continue playing from the early game

But maybe I'll try again sometime, I do think about the game a lot since the opening hours were so impressive

Hahaha, I totally get it. It can get so scary. But you also learn how to distinguish between legitimately dangerous moments and all the other times when you’re relatively safe. Also, having experienced a few Reaper attacks, they become more annoying than anything else. So if it stuck with you, you should totally try again!

I picked it up for 15 Euros on a sale, worth every cent.
 
Yoo, I just remembered... Portal and Portal 2 are coming to Switch this year! I must have been tHinkiNg wiTh poRtaLs and shit this morning (good job, brain). Now I really want to play them.

Wth, Valve? Where's the release date at!?

I think about 60h lol but you're close to the end, I was just taking things slow.

I don't think this is gonna be a disaster, but I don't think it's gonna be good either. Just sounds a bit boring. I just don't see how open world can elevate platforming games, and I even thought so with Bowser's Fury.

Coming from someone who's never touched or even felt like touching a Sonic game, this doesn't look half bad

Open worlds for me live or die on traversal and Sonic looks pretty interesting in that regard
 
Speaking of Sonic playable characters, an open world Sonic game would be the perfect time to bring back Knuckles as playable. What better way to make a BOTW-inspired game than having a character that can already climb walls and glide?

Of course it’s not unfeasible on Switch; the question is, will SEGA appropriately optimize and prioritize the Switch (and best-selling) version?
