I'm just going to assume none of the Persona announcements will be anything interesting until the very last one....and maybe not even that one.

I really want a Persona 1 remake and Persona 2 duology remasters.

Reminder that Eternal Punishment is the best game in the series and you should really play the Persona 2 duology.

I don't have faith of Persona coming to Switch or anything however, I truly hope one day Atlus remasters Persona 1 and 2 for you since you're perhaps one of the most passionate person when it comes to these specific games lol.

There are four big announcements left. My guesses are mainline ports, new anime (Persona 5 Royal?), spinoff/remake, and Persona 6 (which is the final one).

I would like to believe this, but at this point I'm going to assume 3 more announcements of Japan-only merch and a PS4 exclusive Soul Hackers dancing game to preserve my sanity

I’ll take you up on that offer and say 1 of the announcements is for Persona NFT, the other two or for very limited merch tied into an anniversary event that lasts like a week. The final announcement is a mobile Persona dancing gacha game that will not leave JP.

Thinking the same except I do think the last one will be P6, but nothing more than some vague picture with a date that will inevitably get delayed, or the final announcement will be them giving a date for when they're announcing the proper P6 reveal with a snipper of gameplay or something.

I feel like maybe they learned their lesson to some degree after Persona 5. When SMTV was announced, they didn't give a date and when asked about said "It will be a while longer, so please be patient." In 2020 there was a trailer out of nowhere that gave a release year of 2021 with simultaneous worldwide release. At E3 2021 there was an exact release date given and they stuck to it, still keeping the simultaneous worldwide release. Not once did they ever delay SMTV unless it was internally, and in that case there was no promise broken.

Soul Hackers 2 got announced about a week ago, with a simultaneous worldwide release date that's 6 months away. I really doubt that gets delayed at all.

Now it's entirely possible the P-studio is just on an entirely different level and does not go by the same scheme as the teams working on SMTV and Soul Hackers 2, but I feel like surely they learned their lesson with P5.

Like you said, we'll probably get a vague teaser like the P5 one, but maybe with a far off year or no year at all so they don't end up being the butt of "Winter 2014" jokes again.

How unlikely is it for Persona 6 to be a 2023/Early 2024 release? I know that's a huge range, but somewhere in that schedule makes sense to me.

I think late 2023-2024 makes sense. I’m expecting a nothing teaser in the fall (like P5 desks and chains), though I’d love to be wrong and get a proper trailer.

More serious, I have more hope for game announcements at the concert/anniversary festival next month.

I mean, we already see that they’re leaving money on the table regarding P4G not being available on PS4 or PS5, so I don’t think “they have to have some sort of Persona exclusivity deal because they wouldn’t leave money on the table otherwise” really makes any sense here.

I think it’ll happen, but Altus is slooooow.

The last concert they had livestreamed was super cool so it definitely is going to be worth watching when this one happens.

Think about it this way. When we have actual Persona news, i.e. game announcements, there would be a separate thread. New posts in this thread tell you that there is nothing lol.

Prediction: Persona 4 Golden will be announced for july on Xbox showcase. It will be announced later via twitter that is also coming to PS4/Switch.

It will be day 1 Gamepass.

I think ports would ultimately all hit at the same time to be clear, but in that brief window before the Twitter post clarifies it will come to all platforms there will be huge distress.

Someone posted a link that Nate has said a Persona 4 Golden Switch port is done. I forgot to copy and paste it here.

Edit: Seems like it was a prediction on his end.

Lol I know, but I still check to see anyways! I'm like "weLL mAyBe SOmeThiNg hAPpened!" Nope! Every time it's basically "Atlus has a Nendoroid of the Phantom Thief's poop coming out" level of announcement.

I think I would pay money to watch Nintendo do the equivalent of these Persona announcement events with a dormant franchise like FZero or Mother. "But wait! We've got one more announcement....ceramic pins of Captain Falcon! That's not all...tshirts to show your school spirit of all the vehicles! I hope you're hungry bc we've partnered with Cold Stone for FZero smoothies! Ok we've got oooone more thing....an FZero-themed iPod Touch to play all your music!
