If Game Freak really did work with Monolith Soft on this game's world design, then I could see that influencing future mainline titles and their ambitions.

If Monolith helped because of the move it would probably be mainly on finishing touches more than any conceptual stuff or basic design/gameplay

Yeah I'd keep expectations in check with Monolith. They were probably just a little extra manpower for the last half year - year of development. They didn't take over or something. Definitely not even on BotW level contribution

I wouldn’t take it as confirmation, since it read more like a speculation between people she speaks to like insider chatter of “what if?”. So, basically it was more that she was speculating than anything else.

We're three weeks away from the game's release. I find it weird that we still don't have previews and, considering what Jonneh said, nobody has even put their hands on any version of the game yet. Maybe there won't be any previews at all.

Sw/Sh did, I think it was 1.5-2h of gameplay that they got to preview. I think it was up to and including some bits about the Wild Area.

4 weeks, 1 day in advance (Oct 17). BDSP's were 5 weeks and 2 days in advance (Oct 13).

Then it must be next week. I don't know how much time there usually is between the content creators testing the game and the embargo lifting, but this calendar looks kinda cramped to me, that's all.

I think noting that it’s influencers, which I’m not sure if they would fall under the same pile as the reviewers from like IGN, Dual Shockers Nintendo Everything, etc.

So an influencer would be someone like, say, Christina Aguilera which iirc had time with the game previously.

What Jon could be referring to is a group that isn’t like Christina but like the sites that do review these games and submit their critic reviews as part of their job.

TPC overall seems to have pivoted to a much closer marketing period for their games now. SwSh was already showing it, especially compared to SuMo, but BDSP and now Arceus are clear indications that they believe it is the right way to go. Perhaps the huge success of SwSh convinced them. The hype for Arceus is very high despite how little we know, so it's definitely working for them.

I still don't think they'll reveal the starters officially pre-release. We are far more likely to get them in leaks.

My guess now is either previews at the end of this week or in the middle of next week. Trailer next week will show Noble Lady pokemon, Climbing pokemon, and some teases of boss fights
