Rogue Agent

Everyone has different preferences of course but with Fire Emblem, I really miss the maps and overall gameplay of Conquest. I wouldn't miss it so much if the Fates games were on Switch.
I'd be surprised if they don't at least offer two gender choices for the protagonist like Byleth.Kinda disappointed if we don’t have routes to choose from
Feel like that what got us a POC lord (Claude) and Female lord (Edelgard)
Yeah fem byleth is pretty popular compared to the male one hardly ever see fan art of himI'd be surprised if they don't at least offer two gender choices for the protagonist like Byleth.
I don't really believe they could've ever gotten this out for the 30th anniversary to be honest; at best announced in the same way Three Houses was in 2017. April 2020 - April 2021 is just too soon after Three Houses.
Rest of the info is likely solid but gut feeling tells me the anniversary connection might be more of an assumption on Emily's source based on the past characters returning. Just doesn't add up
- Main character (main lord) has strange red and blue hair. His mother of him is a dragon.
- New "Emblems" gimmick allows players to summon "FE characters from the past " for your squad.
the correct term would be scalieFurries FTW.
I think I’ll name my character Dovakhin.
Thank you for your info Emily, much appreciated.@Disclaimer @DunningSmith @Amadeus @DecoReturns
Don't worry, there are a ton of new characters. You can summon past characters from FE history, but past characters aren't the majority of the cast.
To be clear, my sources aren't making any assumptions. This game has been finished since late last year.
A possible theory on why they might be sitting on this game: Post-launch DLC.
That's reassuring for the validity of everything else, but i'm still skeptical about the anniversary tie. At least releasing in that period; if they wanted to announce it then and release it in H2 2021 (pre-covid of course), that's a lot easier for me to believe. To be clear, my sources aren't making any assumptions. This game has been finished since late last year.
I think it's likely that they already had other games scheduled and this is just in their release queue, but because they have a lot of releases now on the same console, that queue may get a bit too long sometimes. They probably wanted to wrap up with Three Houses with Three Hopes and then release this. Since Nintendo can always aford to sit on finished games due to the amount of games they release, they aren't in a hurry.@Disclaimer @DunningSmith @Amadeus @DecoReturns

We already have a FE release soon and Bayo3 is probably in October, with September and November already occuped. December could see AW1+2 and then who knows? If we don't see it this month, we should see it in the September Direct I think, at least with a vague 2023 release date.At first I thought that Fire Emblem would release in 2022, especially when Nate said that Mario+Rabbids could have been delayed to next year but now that it's still on track for this year I think that 2022 might be a little too packed for Fire Emblem, I imagine it will be announced this month and release in February 2023
If we go another direct with no new DK…the rumors are so quiet on himI just want to expand Dong, man. Where's my leader of the bunch?
Mario + Rabbids 2 has a locked in release date internally so it's hard to think of where Fire Emblem could slide in that's far enough away from it. Totally different audiences but still a genre overlap. Definitely can't be anywhere before December i'd say.At first I thought that Fire Emblem would release in 2022, especially when Nate said that Mario+Rabbids could have been delayed to next year. He said that the predictions would either drop this week or next week. Also, the cyberspace embargo ends on June 29th btw.Considering Nate's info still points (as far as he has let us know) that the succ is planned to release in this FY, I wonder if it could be announced soon before, or at, this Direct, for a holiday launch. The other alternative would be to announce it in January to release it in March, but that'd be too rushed, they didn't even try that with the Switch, as it was announced months before it's complete unveiling with a video that showed us it's switching capability. Teasing it in October would cut short the OLED sales by an unknown amount, as many OLED sales are to replace old Switches, so people would just rather wait it out a few more months to get the succ, thus I believe that if there is a time to announce it is soon and the launch would probably be this holiday.
Nintendo could get away with the Switch because the Wii U was dead and the 3DS was marketed as a handheld, while the Switch as a home console, thus no overlap, but this time is entirely different, there is an overlap and they'd probably want to keep their sales up during the holidays. We will have to wait and see, but I hope the succ is announced and released this FY.
June 39th is a weird date for an embargo (lol), also, I wasn't talking about Nate's predictions, but previous leaks.Nate said that he would either drop his predictions in one week or two weeks.

January to April was enough time for Echoes in 2017, but that's a remake so different expectations. Personally thinking it'll get a reveal this month and release in Early 2023.Idk if a September to February or March is enough time for Nintendo and Fire Emblem.
I’m torn on it. If it’s coming early 2023, then I don’t see Nintendo waiting until September to announce it. I see them saying they will announce it in June. They will show more in September and that’ll take you to the release.January to April was enough time for Echoes in 2017, but that's a remake so different expectations. They need some worldwide appeal for the game though. FE is still mind numbingly anime and sometimes not in a good way. Artstyle needs to be something between traditional and anime (GBA era had the best artstyle) and they need to lose that ambiguous setting and go back to pure medieval world.FE is a borderline 5m+ seller franchise with Three Houses, I’d imagine Nintendo wants with the next entry to make sure it grows even more and it becomes a franchise that can compete in sales versus even KH/DQ, so I’d expect for it to be shown in two directs

On release/announcement timing, Three Houses was 'announced' as Fire Emblem for Switch in early 2017 as a 2018 release despite the fact that full production was only just beginning, with the conceptual work for the game having been done back in 2015.@Disclaimer @DunningSmith @Amadeus @DecoReturns

12 just to copy what they would’ve done at E3?How did I not realize June 28th was a Tuesday? I’m kinda leaning towards a 12PM EST show with Treehouse now for whatever reason

There’s another core gameplay mechanic in Sonic Frontiers that, according to the NDA I signed, I’m not allowed to talk about until June 29.
Yeah, the linear "cyberspace" stages. The date is probably a funny coincidence but since we're all talking about June 29th now...I saw this in the Sonic Frontier rumor topic
Probably, maybe it just works best for them not to screw with the marketing cycle too much12 just to copy what they would’ve done at E3?
It’s too much of a coincidence now lol. I can’t get it out of my head with the direct rumored for that exact day.Yeah, the linear "cyberspace" stages. The date is probably a funny coincidence but since we're all talking about June 29th now...

they have FEH already, I can literally guarantee they will not do it in a mainline gameOh no…with characters from the past coming in they wouldn’t do gatcha mechanics or micro transactions…right? Right?
Nintendo wouldn’t allow it on their console games, they have shown to be against that practice for their full-priced games. DLC/Expansions for sure it will get and maybe there is free gacha mechanics like XC2 but when you sell your games at 60$ for years there is no need of MTX (it even is bad for Nintendo because it hurts their image)Oh no…with characters from the past coming in they wouldn’t do gatcha mechanics or micro transactions…right? Right?

yep, there will be one in a little over 2 weeks(29th)I’m in the basement because of a tornado.
Can anyone please give me assurance that there is a Direct this year.
I could use it.

How many games have been completed since last year? New Fire Emblem and Metroid Prime Remaster. Goes to show you how long they’re willing to sit on games. I’ve felt since Covid Nintendo has games jammed up in their offices. There’s a backlog and they have to figure out how to release them.Nintendo in late 2021 just finishing the development of games and then being like "uuuhhh now what"
