For physical games just lend them to him lol

For digital games you have to deregister your own Switch from the eShop profile menu (don't delete your profile as this will delete save data as well) and then sign in to your brother's Switch with the same account. This will make his account the 'Primary Console' and he can download and play any of the games you own. After doing that log back in to your own console and you'll be able to play your games again. There are catches, though:

  • You can't play games at the same time - if one of you is playing and the other starts a game up the game being played is paused
  • Your own Switch won't be able to play games offline anymore unless you make it your Primary Console via the same method. Any time you start up a game you'll

I did this process when I had a OG and Lite for a brief period of time and it worked well, but of course there was no risk of me playing two consoles at once there lol.
Thank you so much Plum. I can't wait to see his face next week :)

In an ideal world, Persona 3 would receive a definite edition combining elements from both FES and Portable entries.

But its also true that so far Atlus has done very straight up ports of their Persona 4 games (Golden and Arena Ultimate). So I don’t have too much faith on them doing Persona 3 “Definitive Edition”.

Imagine… IMAGINE… that I want to play a Sonic game and I like 3D platformers… where do I go first?
@ILikeFeet covered it but just to reiterate:
  • Adventure 1 has a reputation for being buggy but it was ambitious for its time and you can feel the passion the team out into it. Still one of my favorites
  • Adventure 2 is full of solid level design
  • Colors was the game the fandom considered to have broken "The Sonic Cycle" and is probably the purest and best-executed 3D Sonic
  • Unleashed is good if you can handle the combat-heavy Werehog stages, as the actual Sonic stages are fantastic
  • Generations is pure nostalgic fanservice and for Sonic that's actually good

I'm pretty sure these are all available on Xbox (don't know about PlayStation) and if you have a Series S/X (or even a One X I think) Unleashed and Generations just got an update to run at 60fps.

Unfortunately I don't have an Xbox yet, I'm planning to play it on PC instead! I think I'll go with Colors remaster then I'll play Generations with the unleashed mod to get that fantastic sonic stages you're describing. Thanks a lot @ILikeFeet and @chocolate_supra

I'd unironically buy Unleashed Deluxe on Switch (hell, I'd rebuy most of the 3D games on switch)

Even as someone who is not that into "AAA gaming" I found some of the negative reactions surrounding TGA a bit surprising.
the games weren't terrible. some of them even excited me

it was solid overall, but tbh I was a bit disappointed by the general lack of gameplay. Horizon 2 looks sick tho.
Wonder Woman being a teaser (in-engine or not is unknown) was disappointing

but Space Marines looked great (and it's current gen only)

as did Suicide Squad (way better than Avengers)

and of course, I still gush about the matrix demo

Rime is good but in my opinion Journey is a far better game.

So I hear, but I wasn't trying to pit them against each other.

I had a strong emotional reaction to Rime due to the thematic content and its delivery and how it intertwined with the gameplay (especially the final seconds of the game) that I don't think Journey would give me based on what I knpw about it.

FWIW, I liked Rime but didn’t care for Journey at all. Among the emotional-experience platformer sub genre, I preferred Gris over both.

IMO, Rime was a little ham-fisted and the gameplay wasn’t quite as smooth as I would have liked. Journey, on the other hand, was too subtle, I suppose, as I didn’t get anything out of it. Gris struck that perfect balance.

Man, I need a refresher course on Xenoblade 2's mechanics and combat system. Its been too long >.>

This is one of the few areas where I prefer 1 over 2.

That's why you don't stop playing

Oh yeah, I also would have liked more gameplay and I did notice the overabundance of shooters but that's to be expected with a show like this.

Have you considered the niche indie game known as Mario Kart? ;)

PM64 OST (and the game itself) is GOATed

Also, I'm 8 missions into Halo Infinite's campaign, and a few gripes aside, like lack of biome diversity which the team will deliver over time, I'm absolutely loving it. It's the best the Halo sandbox has ever been, the cutscenes are very well directed, and the story is intriguing. I don't mind if it leaves us with some ambiguity, but I hope it delivers on a few pivotal fronts for Halo fans.

Dammit, I forgot to load up Shining Pearl yesterday to see Drifloon to finish my Pokedex.
Well, there's always next Friday!

Don't forget to do the Tetris 99 event this weekend! I did it tonight....and I did very poorly! But I eventually got that theme. The sounds/music are pretty fun in this one, even if the visuals are kinda meh.
Thanks for the reminder! Already I'm loving the losing music that they picked. It's so upbeat and satisfying with the Mario Party theme, which is good cause I'm gonna hear it a lot. lol

I'm really enjoying it more than I thought I would. I'm not even that big of a Halo fan outside the first two games.

The grapple hook really is a game changer.

Man, I just realized how many games I have on the go that I haven't finished.

Death Stranding Directors Cut - need to 100%
Sackboy - haven't finished
Kena - haven't finished
BDSP - need to complete Dex in both games
Age of Calamity - need to 100% all DLC
Crash 4 - never finished
And probably 30 more that I'm forgetting. But man, they're all so good!

Guess I'll play Paper Mario on NSO all weekend!

So someone on Twitter is developing rollback netcode for smash ultimate through yuzu. Might only be able to compensate for only 1v1 but it's definitely something.

Killer Queen black. For a second I thought this was in person, and was going to suggest towerfall, but that has no online unfortunately.

Thanks for the reminder. I missed out on the Mario golf event (the only one I missed). Hopefully that comes back again

Forget a refresher course, I need a refresher program >.>

I wonder if the next Xenoblade will build upon 2's or go back to something a bit more simplistic with 1's combat design

All I want for 2022 is Wii Sports sequel.

That is literally the only unannounced game that I would really want. If Wii Sports sequel was released and no other video game at all I would still be satisfied.

My dream would be for the next Xenoblade to have a battle system, setting, and story that are closer to 1, with the terrain design and music of 2. I know a lot of people prefer 2's battle system but I honestly kinda don't.

Or since "open world" is so_hot_right_now.gif go ahead and just make 3 more like Xenoblade X. lol who am I kidding

Same. I desperately need that itch scratched on Switch.

If it makes zippo feel any better. Persona 3 has been rumored before.

Still. I would recommend not taking his stuff into account. He’s usually wrong about a lot of stuff and when he’s right it’s been talked about from others first.

I actually love XC2's battle system, it just takes some remembering and re-learning if it's been a while since the tutorials are so spread out and not all that helpful. Once you get into the second half of the game I think it's better then XC1's, which IMO is a bit too simple and doesn't have enough combos/buildup/etc.

(But I admit that XC2's system feels SUPER slow especially early game, it takes a while for it to really build up and shine)

I suspect if Eurogamer are reporting what Zippo are saying it's because at least one of their staff has also heard about a potential Persona 3 release. That usually tends to be how these rumours spread on the bigger websites.

I feel like Persona 3 remaster/remake/etc. has been a rumor off and on for ages. It's gained some steam as part of the 25th anniversary stuff, though

Fully understand that you feel that way and you may be right about Journey won't give you that emotional reaction. It was the other way around for me. Journey hit me hard and has a very special place in my heart and that can make it seems like I pit them against each other even if that wasn't my intention.
Two great games.
