As in telling the audience they've been in a simulation the whole time and the real show is happening later and Nintendo will actually remind us to be there this time?

Nintendo: Hey devs, come to Switch! We almost have 100m of install base and they love buying games!

Third party devs: Nah, we're gonna skip that. PS5 is the coolest shit, we will be there.

Sony: I have to warn you I might not sell enough PS5 consoles due to chip shortage.

Third parties: Doesn't matter, we rather have our games sell like shit than to be technically limited.
 
Supergiant and Imagine Dragon feels like the oddest combination, but I think this sort of thing is what the show should focus more on. That is, tributes to game studios and significant game anniversaries.

Sounds really possible. Keanu and Carrie-Anne could be this year's Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez. (they were late in the show, right?)
 
Imagination Dragons (I can’t be the only one that gets this reference). Do like me some Darren Korb though (not listening but saw someone say Supergiant).

Imagine... Dragons... This is a cue for a new BOTW2 trailer with the dragons in a much more important role in the game... right? RIGHT?
 
Supergiant/Darren Korb x Imagine Dragon feels like a weird echo of the time the Grammys put Kendrick Lamar together with, well, Imagine Dragons.

Honestly genuinely surprised people were expecting much from Nintendo. I do not get where this impression came from. They featured BotW an already announced game at two TGA’s and to be bluntly honest they haven’t done much since. It’s been super tame in the Switch era. A logo of Bayonetta 3, a couple of mid tier game announcements, smash dlc, etc. Nothing really earth shattering.

I will gladly take the L tonight if something huge gets dropped later. But I wasn’t expecting anything since Smash has been the go to game for announcements and that is now wrapped up.
 
On another note I've been snoring really badly lately so tonight I'm gonna try to wear two nasal strips to bed, wearing two of those can't hurt right?

I think there was an assumption that since Smash can’t be the big showing, there would have to be something to replace it. Instead, it seems like there just… isn’t.
