Until (Puella Magi Madoka Magica spoilers) God Madoka gets rid of all magical girls
Haha! Technically in the original show she lets them live without transforming into witches so they can fulfill their wish with no suffering at the end. If we want to get specifically silly about it given my avatar bet theme, Magia Record (the game) Arc 1 spoilers the main Magia Record universe is one Ultimate Madoka ostensibly abandons to let a version of her and Homura have normal / significantly extended magical girl lives as history diverged wildly where multiple characters who would normally unceremoniously die in the main universe and timelines live who ultimately on their own erect a magical barrier and system that prevents witch transformation. She still helps out a little bit in the big final battle though. No idea where the story went from there in Arc 2 as the English version ended a few months later right when the game teased in an epilogue event "Arc 2 is coming get hyped!" lol.

Well I ordered a couple Vinyl decals to trick out my skis this winter. Thought it’d be fun to add some personality after all these years. Plus I don’t really like putting them on my car

Why don’t I remember this from the anime haha
Puella Magi Madoka Magica was the original 12 episode show and movie. There's a ton of spinoffs and such given how popular it was.

Magia Record the mobile game was the biggest spinoff. The English version only ran for a year and a half, but it's still running today in Japan and even had a new project entirely launch inside of it just recently. Arc 1 at least (which we got) was excellent and both honors and expands on the source material and stands proud as its own thing entirely.

Magia Record the anime was a bad end version of the game where everyone makes terrible choices and might as well be separate people entirely by the end of it that is also a separate universe entirely with different rules. It's not as good lol.

So uh yeah, it's complicated lol.

Edit: I edited my prior post to make more clear the distinction of what I was referring to if that is what you were asking. Haha

I should do a tour of my town’s anime decals. I don’t know any of them, but it’s quite prolific. The Walmart parking lot of all things is teeming with anime emblazoned cars.

There are two reasons why, however hard it is to imagine the pathway to that event, a sale process of Nintendo would be transformative — not least because it might convince consolidation-resistant Japanese companies to seek scale and protection through mergers.

The first is that for Japan as a whole, the intensely high profile of a Nintendo sale would finally crystallise the sense of how undervalued many of its crown jewels really are — and how many smaller jewels are being sold to private equity and others at bargain prices. Microsoft would merely be one of many potential buyers: it is easy to imagine Disney or Apple stepping in, followed quickly by Google and Sony. Activision's deal valuation would look small by comparison.

But the greater reason is that Japan may itself need the sort of moment that it foisted on the US in 1989 when Sony bought Columbia Pictures. That acquisition, in all its boldness and ferocity of ambition, was disruptive in a way that was ultimately as valuable to a then-chagrined Hollywood as it was to Japan's sense of achievement.

Disruption is not something that an individual company or a market tends to wish upon itself, but there is a risk that Japan's stock market has painted itself into a corner where only disruption will do. Until this actually comes, the country could do worse than think about how positive a disruptive Nintendo sale might be.

Silly FT, Japan doesn't own Nintendo. It's the other way around.

Man, i had to take half a day off and rush home because DHL put my fucking 1k € smartphone package in our driveway, completely visible and easily grabbable for everyone.

The one day where no one is at home cause the Mrs. had to do doc appointments for our younger ones and went to her parents with them after that.

Anyway ... i kinda dig the Pixel 8 Pro. It's actually not much bigger than my old regular Pixel 6, surprisingly.

Guilty. It throws me off too much. I need that consistency! At least I got used to Elmo a long time ago, though, even if it did take me a minute. 😅

Are you me? I use to identfy people here by their profile pics, too.

That's why i hate profile pic bets, especially when the loser pic is haunting. ^^

But i got your back, i will never change my trusty old stormtrooper one. Could you imagine Bonejack without a Stormtrooper profile pic?

also apparently I’m allowed to send in a “thank you” video for Spotify Wrapped

in the event that anyone has my music on their Wrapped this year

and I could do something normal…

but it’s me. so i’ve made something horrifying.

here’s a screenshot

I appreciate the Yoda grammar. The world needs more Yoda grammar.

Unfortunately I can't access the full article, but lol at suggesting the sale of Nintendo in order to cause disruption. You know what will cause disruption? Break up Disney, WB and all the other megacorps.

Seriously, imagine having to pay for this level of journalism.

On the other hand, imagine you could get paid for writing bullshit all day.

The more I read articles in the financial press, the more I hear investors talk, the more I realize that these people don't know anything about anything, it's crazy. They invest and give advice based solely on hype, their gut instinct and, sometimes, what Yuji Naka tells them.

It was the best of times, it was the Financial Times.

Damn meatbag, it's not even 11 am here, it's way too early for existential dread.
It’s never too early for existential dread! HAHAHAhahahahaha haha ha
I try to make sense of this article but I fail... What is the FT thinking with this article even?
Basically “Nintendo could have bigger stocks if they let a bigger megacorp buy them” because organic growth isn’t fast enough for these financial analysts

This is like Threes! but cuter and more more unwieldy... but I can't stop, I've been playing it for the past hour
I have the same thing haha! I hope they plan n international release on Switch. They're also thinking of bringing it to mobile.

I had convinced myself that Dave the Diver was out today and then I looked and it's not. Where the hell did I get the 12th from? I've been thinking it was coming out today for weeks!

I had to actively forget about Dave the Diver for a few weeks. Really looking forward to catching all sorts of fish and rolling that sushi. Well, asking the proprietor to roll the sushi while Dave only gets to pour the tea.

Got the sudden urge to pick up my FE Engage playthrough from where I left it off months ago, and... I do not have the faintest idea where I left things off.

This is what I deserve for my hubris, smh.

Sounds like you now have the perfect "I have no idea what's going on" state of mind that 95% of the Engage characters also have!

It's amazing how faithful the new Lords of the Fallen is to the original. Not only does it have the same name but apparently the around same critic scores as well.

So I finally got Sparks of Hope for under $20...in the month with too much releasing lol. Oh well it'll be numero uno on my backlog when I get to it at least. I got it for $20 before but apparently an employee took the game out before shipping the empty case to me without the shrink-wrap so I know it wasn't a manufacturer defect.
