With 13 sentinels coming to Switch before P5, it's almost certain than Persona 5 is closely related to PlayStation.
That seems likely. Sony is going to fight tooth & nail to keep Persona and mainline Final Fantasy closely associated with the platform likely because those have been breakout hits for them over the years.

Although I also wouldn't rule out technical reasons. The Vita was one of the original 13 Sentinels platforms until that version was rightly canned in 2019 after Sony dropped support for the platform. Persona 5 was a game targeting PS3/PS4 so it might be a heavier lift for Atlus to get it onto the current Switch hardware.

Hey fami. Would love some help here.

I'd rather ask an open question here than post a thread. My cousin is gifting her 9 year old daughter a Switch Lite and is in need of recommendations! Preferably indie or lower priced games. I wrote down Minecraft and Captain Toad but I'm in a bit of a brain freeze. Would love to hear about things I can check out. Her English is decent.

my life's goal is to build upon the strategic small guy genre set by pikmin, katamari, and chibi robo so that people like me have more video games to play

Believe it or not, I was actually playing Chibi-Robo the other day.

whispers good game

Hoa is a good choice in my mind, the game is not too hard, beatiful 2D visuals and good soundtrack.

Oh my god yall, Amazon's Cyber Monday sales have some OLED tvs nearly $1000 off. 😳
I will not give as I'm not ready for a new tv yet but I hope this bodes well for the coming years

I have a confession to make.

Playing the BDSP remakes feel like such a drag for me.
confession? I‘m glad you’re mentioning it, those are some low quality titles.
I get that people have fun with the games but the pokémon company should’ve given the devs more time

A Short Hike: pretty simple with cute and quirky characters.

Later Alligator: basically a point and click adventure+minigames. The characters are really fun.

Untitled Goose Game: you cause havoc and mischief as a goose, what's not to like?

Nairi: Tower of Shirin: pretty simple point and click adventure with some nice art. Only thing that sucks is that it is actually a part 1, I think the sequel is coming sometime next year?

Haven't played it yet, but I've heard Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is pretty kid friendly. Others to check out: Donut County, TOEM, What the Golf, Yoku's Island Express. Snipperclips and some of the Lego games might also be decent choices. Hope that helps.

You know that feeling when you're itching for a certain kind of game but there's nothing out there that quite fits what you want and you haven't already played?
At least three times a year i have this urge to lose myself in a big adventure in a big world full of discoveries and then realize I just want to play BotW but set in a new world.

BOTW2 might make an appearance at the Game Awards, but that tweet seems to be related to something else.

Is the gameplay in 13 Sentinels actually good? I've mostly heard mixed opinions on the gameplay, which is what really matters to me. Edit: even the metacritic blurb is all about the story and aesthetics, but nothing about the gameplay.

This could apply to countless non-Nintendo games, too. That's the glory of the tease. It can fit anything.

Based on the framing & wording, it doesn't sound Nintendo. Sounds like a company that he has courted for a TGA reveal.
sweet will skip this borefest again!

If I'm going to replay CC, it'll be the remakester.

Did a replay of CT earlier this year so I'm good for a few more months.

I hear you though. The malaise that hits when you can’t quite figure out what to enjoy is very real. I’ve found trying a different medium altogether helps a bit; movies, music, and books usually reset my gaming interests.

Hope you find something that works. 👍

Depends on what you mean by "gameplay". There are two main types of game to the game: Visual Novel, and robot combat sim/RTS with pause. The Visual Novel parts of the game are really what the real game is, and it's like... probably easily 60-75% of the game, maybe more, and those are excellent, but it's visual novel: You're really just walking around the world and talking to people, that's it. Finding branching story paths, etc.

The other chunk of the game is the combat RTS stuff, and it's... not bad, but not great, and it gets repetitive before long. And you're also required to do it now and then before the game will let you continue on with the actual visual novel story parts, which can be a bit grating.

If you like visual novels and story games, though, I still highly recommend the game as it is a WILD ride well worth taking, even if you have to slog through some of the sim stuff. You can lower the difficulty and breeze through it if you want to, too.

Not sure if this is too off topic but there seems to be a fair bit of not strictly Nintendo related posts here so here goes.

After 7 long years single, I am single no longer, thanks in part to the power of gaming.

A few months ago I met this wonderful girl online; we're both huge geeks and Switch gamers, and we bonded over our mutual love of games like Monster Hunter Rise, Bayonetta 2, and Astral Chain. It broke the ice by giving us a mutual hobby to talk about.

Our city was in an extended lockdown at the time so we couldn't meet at first and spent the first two months just chatting online, but yesterday we had our 4th date and I asked if she wanted to take things further and make us official. She said yes.

I am over the moon; she's kind, smart, funny, gorgeous, and completely accepting and understanding of the fact I am autistic and have OCD, which are often deal breakers for people. I feel so incredibly blessed and can't wait to see where this goes.

Phew, sorry for the diary entry, was just busting to share haha.

From one autist to another I just want to wish the both of you the best of luck 😊 I met my partner thanks to games as well, Mario Kart in fact!

Thanks! I've been reading and running more during these months but I enjoy having chill evenings with a game... just gotta find the right one. Probably doesn't help that I'm not enjoying my replay of TTYD as much as I was hoping. At least I finished the dreaded Chapter 4 now...

Yeah, I definitely don’t believe this is Nintendo related. It could be any company big or small. I’m sure Geoff will preface the trailer by saying “I flew out to ____ and we’ve worked on this trailer for 2.5 years. This is special to my heart. Please take a look”.

We’ll get something from Nintendo, but not related to this tweet.
Right.

Nintendo will likely have something at TGA but this tweet is not teasing or implying anything related to them. Glad to see channels like NintyPrime report BotW2 confirmed for TGA citing this tweet...

That's SMT for me since the series is incredibly unique in the Jrpg landscape.

Everything from music, atmosphere, and combat/difficulty. What game has enemies cracking random jokes while simultaneously trying to fuck you over lmao.
