Just so I'm clear, the game that:

  • Is a sequel to a casual game
  • Has 'Everybody' in the title'
  • Features a horse
Is all the same game right?
  • is considered a "stinker" as in not great, not that it literally deals with odor.
  • might feature a "horse person" which some have taken literally to mean a horse-person hybrid is a featured character, leading to the amiibo festival 2 believers, but if it just means someone we associate as a "horse person" like a jockey, farmhand, cowgirl/boy shows up in the background or something... then it's probably something else. Like a follow-up to 1-2 Switch, which did in fact have cowboys in some of it's tutorials/background images.
  • is all the same game yeah

I finally made the decision to buy Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Gamestop had a promotion where first-party games were sold at half price.

I was a longtime fan of the Fire Emblem series, but Fates was a disappointment - hence I more or less lost the passion.

I'm not far into the game, but it strikes me that the game is still very different from previous games. Hell, I'd even say Three Houses is one of the most innovative games in the series, with, among other things, the increased emphasis on the social aspect in the monastery.

Three Houses runs and leaves Fates in the dust. You are in for a treat!

TBH I didn't think Fates was that bad but I'm hardly a veteran of the franchise. I started with Awakening like a lot of fans.

It was the logical next step

Reminds me that there should be a new FEH Channel coming up in the next few weeks to introduce the new story.

What I prefer about Astral Chain compared to Scarlet Nexus is how the characters feel. There's more heft or weight to the movement. SN feels rather ... flimsy? to me at least.

Combat does feel a bit loose and you seem to locked into your attack animations which gets you hit often. Plus the stuff you're meant to throw often gets in the way when dodging so I agree the Astral Chain is a smoother experience.

shout out to this picture I took in 2011 of the three copies of 50 Cent Blood on the Sand I bought

(two were gifts for friends)

me: "I don't think that thing will happen, I think a different thing will happen. why do you think that thing will happen?"

others: "lol. lmao."

Why write many words when you can simply use "lol based" or "cringe lmao" as a response to literally anything?

@lemonfresh I challenge you to change your tag to #TeamKirbyInMay so you can't avoid people asking you why you think a game that's already been rated won't be out for six months
In all fairness, Witcher 3 next gen was rated a month ago and that won't be out until around that time.

I've recently discovered my Spotify playlist for Work Drugs

Ten years later and they still hit that perfect late spring/early summer chill vibe

Best thing to do on my birthday? Play Pikmin 4 on Switch. Oh wait.
Happy birthday friend, make a wish on them candles and hopefully by next year we'll at least have an announcement (or better yet, a release date)

just pulled my 360 collection out of the garage for 50 cent blood on the sand purposes do not judge me please
I will judge you with respect

Wild 30 minutes in Phantasy Star IV.

Defeated the character initially positioned as the game's primary antagonist, had 2 party members leave, got a spaceship and recruited a new party member, fought a stowaway boss on the spaceship, crash landed on an alien church, had the former owner of said church join my party

It's great.

Y'all, I bought Balan Wonderworld. It was $15 and tbh I actually enjoyed how bizarre the demo was.

Not sure when I'll get around to playing it but what's one more game in my massive backlog? 😅

It's staggering how many Wii games didn't make it out of Japan. Found this dude that has been translating some of them, including some Nintendo-published ones like Takt of Magic and Zangeki no Reginleiv

I can definitely see why some of them weren't brought over though.

I have something to confess, I haven’t gotten PRBFTG season 4 or the Street fighter pack yet, and whether I get them or not right now depends on if there’s anything else on sale in the us Eshop sale this week I want more

Reginleiv literally is an Earth Defense Force game in a fantasy setting. Maybe there's still some chance for it to comeback. Switch is having quite a number of EDF games lately, if people buy them, Nintendo might reconsider working with Sandlot again.

I've just accidentally purchased a non-English game on the UK eShop. It was a visual novel I've had on my wishlist that went on sale for the first time. The description is in English, and the trailer has English subs... And to top it off I read a review of the English localisation for PC before I purchased. Admittedly, the box where it says supported languages only lists Japanese and Chinese... But I didn't even think to check...

What are my chances of getting a refund?

I'm in bed so will give it a shot after work tomorrow as I need my console's serial number to contact Nintendo.

Can't believe this game is on the European eShop without a bold warning it is not in English or any other European language. Oh my days.

The game in question is: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/Christmas-Tina-2005016.html

If anyone is interested in the title you can buy it in English from Manga Gamer.

It says both on the website and on the e-shop that the supported languages are japanese and chinese?

But I'm sure you could get a refund anyway, unless the agent responding to your case is without the persona heart.

Finished Guardians of the Galaxy. Very solid game, but it had a few glaring issues (Specifically the QTE's and one specific enemy type that is horribly designed), but otherwise, solid game and easily the best modern Marvel title (Marvel specifically, not Spider-Man)

I'm about a year late to the party but Hades is so good! The genre never appealed to me before but I'm so glad I tried it. The characters are fun, combat is great, and it's really satisfying when I finally beat a boss. I finally beat the 2nd boss, made it to the third and did not come close to winning, but I know I will keep getting further as I play more. I can totally see why it was on so many GOTY 2020 lists!

Just found out The Sinking City is 75% off on eShop and the sale ends tomorrow. I have enough gold coins to pay for it entirely; is the game worthwhile?

Just wanted to pop in and say that I really hope Buddy Mission Bond gets translated some day ✌🥲
it will release on 4/20 and be renamed BUDDY MISSION BONG and it will star Seth Rogen

I think it's super weird that that game hasn't been brought over at all.

Well, GameFly had Skyward Sword HD for $30 so I think that officially wraps up my holiday shopping. Kirby, 13 Sentinels, and Skyward Sword is a decent haul for $80 total. Wanted Tales of Arise but I hesitated too long and it went OOS, but I'm sure it'll hit $30 or lower again eventually.
