News Nintendo Direct announced for June 21 (40 minutes long, focused on games releasing this year, 7AM Pacific, 10AM Eastern, 4PM Central European)

I agree on both, quite skeptical of Mario RPG remake existing and I think Fire Emblem will be in September.
 
(And in regards to Skies of Arcadia again...
i looked into the game a month ago, forgot most of it to be honest, and ...
while i think its a fine if somewhat average jrpg, i would really really love a sequel, unlike some the concept (sky pirates) has so much more unexplored potential to many other existing jrpg series ... then again, it could suffer from comparisons to One Piece T.T)

It's time for a final countdown. It has been epic and great journey even when it wasn't that long. I first thought this is gonna be a pretty boring speculation thread due to Zelda being out and most people believeing in September but I think at some point it was as entertaining as last June. Thanks so everyone who never doubted me, I owe you this:) Thanks @Raccoon for the great thread!

Having no expectations and still being knees deep in TotK despite clocking in 210 hours now this direct feels extra good for me. Only thing I would want to see is TotK DLC to feed my addiction. Can’t wait.

Ok, maybe it's absolutely nothing but I've noticed that Square has a small sale going where more than half of the games are from the Star Ocean series, only on the PS Store though, no Steam or E-shop. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe it's a sign for that leaked SO2 remaster/remake showing up at the direct? We'll know soon enough.

I think both Pikmin 4 and 2D Mario are “middle” games, Pikmin 4 with associated deep dive. The opener will be something completely out of the blue.

My heart wants the snes remake to be Chrono Trigger but I want it to be Super Mario RPG to dig Zippo’s grave further. He’s gotten way too cocky.

Mentioned it previously, but I'm actually more excited for the more niche stuff they're gonna announce for the first time that no one is expecting/rumors. Like when Metroid Dread/Warioware were announced completely out of nowhere.

I think this is the most excited I’ve ever been for a Direct? I’ve been plenty hyped before but usually for one or two individual games. Today I’m extremely excited to just be surprised.
