News Nintendo Direct announced for June 21 (40 minutes long, focused on games releasing this year, 7AM Pacific, 10AM Eastern, 4PM Central European)

And I really don't think Nintendo cares all that much whether this is shown in a Pokemon Presents or a Direct.
If anything they probably think it's better in a Direct because it could appeal to people who aren't into Pokemon (and wouldn't tune in for a Presents) that just want a Detective/puzzle-solving adventure game. I can already see them making a small headlines section featuring games like Rain Code, Ghost Trick, Decapolice and Detective Pikachu or something like that.

This feels like confirmation bias on your part, because the leaker has said it's coming, and you don't want to trust them, you're saying it's a safe guess. Metroid Prime Remaster was also finished and "releasing soon (tm)" and got predicted/fake leaked over and over until it finally showed up this year.
 
I've been predicting a 2D Mario for 2023 since last year, so I'll stick with that as tomorrow's biggest reveal thank you very much.

I'm gonna play contrarian and predict no 2D Mario is in development. Sometimes people talk themselves into beliefs, see the Switch Pro circa 2021 that was totally 100% going to get announced.
 
sooo is anyone familiarized with @Cult_of_ember on twitter? she knows and has leaked some stuff on movies and tv shows and is saying some things about the nintendo direct on his twitter

I think we need to see what was actually in those tweets. The only two screens we have are something I can’t read and a prediction that turned out true.

Certainly eyebrow-raising, though.

I'll admit I probably would've expected Detective Pikachu to show up in a Pokemon Presents, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it showed up in a Direct - especially since typically around E3 time the Presents came first and the Direct followed, but we didn't have one so the next logical place it would show up is tomorrow at the Direct.

Don't really know about the Metroid remaster since I didn't follow it that much, but I knew it was real because Emily leaked it (or at least corroborated it) so it was bound to show up eventually - I'm not going to give credit to "insiders" who predicted it at every event and eventually got it right on the nth attempt.

That's outright terrifying.

The mask doesn't even look like rubber, more like a hard mannequin-esque plastic. I almost feel bad for the poor bastard if they were sweating buckets inside that costume with 20 lbs resting on their neck for a couple hours
