It would be cool from team Asano to release Dragon Quest 3 Remake before announcing Chrono Trigger Remake, JUST SAYIN

I just don't see a world where Nintendo doesn't release a October or November 1st party game.

September is too late to announce it and unless that alleged event in July is another direct, this week's direct is the only thing that makes sense.
Lest we forget Origami King being announced in May and being released in July, frankly I don’t find that too far fetched

They just raised my rent so I don't wanna see anything I'd be excited about. It's time for the Wave Race, F-Zero and Halo on Switch Direct! SNES remake is Revolution X.

I can't say that I am surprised at the potential Super Mario RPG remake. Square loves remakes and after Live a Live's success, they probably greenlit a couple more big ones. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a (2D) Secret of Mana remake and Chrono Trigger remake at some point.

But also Square is extremely weird, and I could see them looking at Live a Live's success and being like "Okay that's enough money to fund a Final Fantasy 16 x Assassin's Creed collab, production of a super expensive kingdom hearts plushie, and a 2 year delay on Dragon Quest 3 Remake."

I just hope they get to the point where they say "We've run out of stuff to do, may as well remaster Crystal Chronicles My Life as a King"

can a japan only release be considered a classic? I know it got a sequel on the N64 but it wasn't particularly large hit even then.
I think the bolded and special text ' wonder ' is a red herring.

There are true classics out there that would be more suitable for a remake, unless it really is just a low budget low effort remake and the hint is Wonder Project J, and the 'SNES classic' bit is the author's own opinion. That's happened before too when the leaker's own interpretation of a game's worth actively works against their obvious hints.

Not sure about you but am already prepared for tomorrow.

A long long time ago, I've even forgotten about tbh
(but published about it on the Source Gaming Discord)
Oh ok. I guess we’ll see because this Twitter person seems to have a pretty good track record and they seem to be hinting at SMRPG remake. I would take a Chrono Trigger Remake anyday

The original sold over one million in japan seems like a pretty big hit to me.

That was covid related though, wasn't it? It's possible I guess because Nintendo is weird but I'd put my money on a holiday game being announced tomorrow.
I could see that being the case but if so then it could have potentially been announced at E3 that year, giving us a whole month to prepare. Similar thing happened with 3D All Stars, though I’m sure that one got hit harder by covid

Considering Live A Live was a Japanese only flop and got called a "classic" in last year's February 2022 direct, yes.

It's easy. You take one photo of a dog and tweet 900 tweets with a pokémon photoshopped to it. To guarantee it, you can photoshop like 1 trillion images of objects on that dog. 1 trillion tweets, it's nothing right?

"Jarvis, photoshop 1 trillion images of objects on a dog"

Fair point!

I guess we'll see tomorrow. Going to be fun either way.

You all remember how Koizumi trolled us last September when he said: Thank you for watching and he bowed, people thought that was the end and they would not show Zelda.

He knows what he is doing, he was laughtning straight into your face.
