Hey Fami(ly)!!!
I FINALLY BOUGHT MY SWITCH!!! 😭😭😭😭
IT'S A V2 AND COMES WITH TONS OF DIGITAL GAMES(BOTW, ODYSSEY, MK8DX, FIRE EMBLEM, ANIMAL CROSSING, SMASH, MONSTER HUNTER RISE AND STORIES 2, POKÉMON SHIELD AND MAY MORE!!!).
I'M SO DAMN HAPPY AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO ARRIVE!!!!!
Congrats!! Did you buy on Amazon? I saw yesterday they were having a sale for it.

Don't forget to check the eShop for pretty sweet deals on great indies :)

Dove back into Red Dead Redemption 2 again for the first time in a few months. Ended up completing the Stranger quest line “The Veteran” today, which I just realized is crazy timing given its Veterans day today. I needed to share this somewhere lol.

Also, I can’t believe the same folks that made the GTAV story created the RDR2 story—the latter is light years ahead in terms of ambition and execution.

Hey guys, this is my first post. I'm a long time lurker since the NeoGaf sales threads and this thread on ResetEra.

I hope it's okay to post my predictions for 2022 in here. I just drew this up and it sounds too good to be true so I'm probably very wrong!

JAN – Pokemon Arceus
FEB –
MAR – Triangle Strategy
APR – Advance Wars
MAY – Kirby
JUN – Splatoon 3
JUL – Metroid Prime Remake
AUG – New Fire Emblem
SEP – Mario + Rabbids 2
OCT – Donkey Kong 3D
NOV – BOTW2
DEC – Bayonetta 3

I'd love to hear your predictions.

Also, what happened to that rumoured Monolith Soft medieval fantasy RPG?

Thank you all!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Well I bought it second hand(1,5 year old), and it came with all those games bought. I think the guy was desperate to sell lol. Oh yeah I NEED an SD card lol. But most games are installed already.
I got it for 2100 reais(a bit less than 400 dollars) which is really a huge deal considering the amount of games it's coming with lol.
Congrats, that was a great deal! You’re gonna have a blast. 😁

Metroid Prime HD feels like a Fall release to me. I'd switch it with Mario + Rabbids 2 which is probably a Summer release. I also have my doubts that we're getting a new Fire Emblem game next year.

In my opinion:

January - Pokemon Legends Arceus
February -
March - Triangle Strategy
April - Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp, Resident Evil Outrage
May - Kirby and the Forgotten Land
June - Splatoon 2, new casual IP
July - Monster Hunter Rise: Sunborn, Unknown remaster/port
August - Bayonetta 3, Mario + Rabbids Spark of Hope
September - Detective Pikachu 2
October - Metroid Prime Remake, New Super Mario Bros Switch
November - Breath of the Wild 2

Reasoning: Nintendo does two releases a month quite a lot, but never three. There's always a casual IP (and for the past few years they've come in June, so I don't see that stopping now). There's gonna be a Mario game for the holidays to release alongside the movie, and there's always two or three Mario games a year. It'll be three years since Mario Maker 2 and updates stopped pretty early for that game, presumably to go into full production on the next 2D Mario game. There's always a port, but I can't see that anywhere but summer. Detective Pikachu 2 is past due. Metroid Prime will probably get the October slot. BOTW2 ain't coming until late 2022, and September is probably the earliest it'll come (but that isn't happening, so November it is). Bayonetta 3 and Mario + Rabbids 2 get the August slot that both previous releases (Astral Chain and Mario + Rabbids) got. Thanks for reading this very long wishlist of me attempting to justify my hype.

There's absolutely no way 2022 doesn't have a single big game in the back half. Splatoon 3 would be delayed until September if that was the case, and Xenoblade 3 would come out of nowhere to release in 2022 as well.

yooooo we're doing month lists?? I love those, @ me next time

JAN: Pokémon Legends Arceus
FEB:
MAR: Triangle Strategy
APR: Advance Wars, Kirby
MAY:
JUN: annual throwaway Mario (Rabbids maybe?)
JUL: some shit nobody gives a fuck about
AUG: Splatoon 3
SEP: Metroid Prime, Bayonetta 3 maybe idk lmao
OCT: Zelda
NOV: Movie Synergy Mario
DEC: Xenoblade again lmao

throw in EPD 4 somewhere (likely fall if there's hardware attached) and you've pretty much got the whole year squared away

I predict that some Nintendo Switch games will be released in 2022, and that’s all I’ll say

(because Im bad at predictions)

first of all thank you for starting up the month predictions thing, it's my favorite thread topic no cap

second unfortunately if I recall correctly this was just some portfolio art or something of the sort

I actually bought it on OLX, preferred to get it second hand with all those games than a new one. Thanks you very much!!! I'm gonna check eShop daily 😍
Congrats, that was a great deal! You’re gonna have a blast. 😁
Thank you!!! 😍

Obrigade, sério, é um sonho realizando!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️

This is exactly how I feel. I too am a physical collector for the Switch. I've got a wall of Switch games and have double dipped too many times to count.

But with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, I have two reasons that, together, have made me decide to not purchase them on day 1...

- it's not all on the cart

- nintendo's been putting updated versions on carts months down the line

So this time I'll hold out and and buy it digitally. I'll check in later to see if they're putting out complete versions on cart and consider getting it then.
I don't know if I could reasonably get myself to buy both the digital and physical versions, but you bring up good points. Decisions, decisions...

(Would've been an easier decision if Pokémon Center didn't sell out of the double pack preorders with those cute keychains, only for them to come back in stock but WITHOUT the keychains in stock so you couldn't actually get the double pack, but alas)

I’d jump on a new New Super Mario Bros. Shrug.

By the way, my Switch friends list looks like early pandemic times. Tons of people online with half or better playing ACNH. (Oddly, it’s making me feel somewhat nostalgic about such a horrible time. But I suppose that was one of the few bright spots of 2020 — connecting with my friends through Animal Crossing…many of them first timers! Definitely the right game at the right time.)

Arlo fully embraced his hater persona, huh? Doesn't surprise me, he basically found the perfect formula for viewer engagement.

Glad I stopped watching him years ago
Outrage / negative videos are easier to make and have a high ROI.

My take on the YouTube hiding dislike is

Whatever. It means absolutely nothing. I rather they do something meaningful regarding comments/or so, something that actually is harmful to folks and help them.

Dislikes is whatever. Then again I think the only positive thing about dislike is that it helped you decide what videos to ignore faster? I wouldn’t know too much.

That’s my 2cents. Based off someone who can’t stand really YouTube comments so perhaps I have a bias view

If the Muppets ever do a rendition of The Shining they should cast Arlo

“Random battles and no EXP makes a dull RPG” just written 10,000 times

I'm convinced that some of y'all Arlo haters never actually watch the videos. Like, the YouTube dislikes video is perfectly reasonable and I feel the same way. YouTube isn't removing them to prevent bullying, they're doing it to cover up the negative feedback to certain types of videos and companies.

I watch a lot of Arlo's videos and find them balanced and well reasoned. 🤷‍♂️

Recently his take on the OLED was fair and his excitement over Eric Barone's new game infectious.

I’ve never seen/heard the puppet Arlo. No interest or care too.

This is the Arlo I listen too weekly

RDR2's story has that effect. I know the some people have complained about the early pacing, but it's the only game I've played where ambitions to be a novel were achieved so well.

Finally got my Wii U and Gamecube w/ Gameboy Player hooked back up. So hopefully next year I can finally venture forth with beating one of Xenoblade Chronicles, Wind Waker, or Mother 3.

Also it's ridiculous how close the Wii U came to being the ur-Switch and yet still feels so far away from hitting it. Such a frustrating system.
