Before the last trailer dropped I had a few ideas of where I wanted to go after I landed in “Unfamiliar Hyrule” again but now with more info coming out daily I can’t decide what direction I want to go to first. I had intended to head towards death mountain first because I want to ride on the new mine cart rollercoaster ride attraction first, but seeing Gerudo desert now, I may have to change my plans. Plus it seems like there are going to be all kinds of new crazy things we find in the environment that will distract me and make me forget where I was headed in the first place. Can’t wait to be lost all over again.
I still don't know what I want to do. My favorite options for now:

  • Hyrule castle hole
  • Faron. My favorite biome in the game and the biggest Zonai location. Definitely there will be some interesting there.
  • Typhlo ruins, other Zonai location.
  • Korok forest or whatever is left of it.
  • Great Plateau

A person of culture I see. It's so small compared to snowy, desert, volcano and grasslands, hope they found a way to expand it and also let us see the monkeys!

Ah lots of new little info huh? Well the floodgates will definitely break in the next week or so. I think I'm out and will hide this thread.

Thank goodness for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed on Tuesday! See y'all post release ✌🏾

It’s wild that this game is just a few weeks out considering the immeasurable ways my life has changed in the time since it was announced.

Definitely Faron for me as well, plus I want see the coastline in that direction we haven’t seen anything along the sea yet.
The Lanayru Promenade is up there too for me as well as far as my favorite aesthetic visually in BotW.

Honestly, depending on how late my CE shipment arrives that Friday (or, god forbid, is delayed) I might do it as well... Hylia help us all.
I feel absolutely disgusted by the thought… but I am also tempted by this.

If there is an indication that my copy won’t arrive in time, it might have to be a midnight download lol

… at which point the eshop servers will be fucked and I won’t be able to download it quick enough 😂

Good to see that i'm not the only maniac that has too much money and not enough willpower to eventuelly wait for the physical version to arrive.

It means a lot to me.

Thanks for reminding me about Lanayru Promenade. For some reason I forgot about it.

Do you think Nintendo will please us with music on the title screen again this time? Have to say that I was a bit disappointed when booting up BotW for the first time and not being greeted by a soothing title and music sequence..

I'm counting on this. No slideshow anymore please.

The opening screen from the ‘Final’ trailer would be perfect for this, with the crescendo to the main Zelda theme.

I’d be stuck on the start screen for a while 😂

This title screen talk reminded me that I'm speculating that this moment on will be the analogue to the cutscene that happens after we leave shrine of resurrection where the title is shown.
If that's the case I really hope it's dynamic and it changes depending on the position we jump from the sky. 30 seconds timestamp in case it fails.

EDIT: This reminded me that I really enjoy Ghost of Tsushima title sequence. And it's pretty nice that they give you control during the scene.

Btw. i just saw an tweet from last week where the person that tweeted said they put a Zelda ad into the ad blocks that play before the Mario movie in the cinemas.

Curious about this, when i went to see the movie, there wasn't any Zelda ad/trailer ... though that was before this last trailer dropped.

With three weeks to go until launch, what are Fami's sales predictions for TOTK?
people buy it, realized this is just dlc that could have been $30, return the game en mass

aonuma is shamed and retires, fujibayashi quits and joins netease, Miyamoto, Takahashi, and Furukawa hold an apology press conference and have a minute long bow

Nothing has really confirmed "aerial combat" yet other than the Rito (probably pre-dungeon) set piece, but I think the final boss is going to be a giant aerial battle. The MO for Zelda games for the last 15 years or whatever has been to have final boss use the core identity and mechanics of the game-- Skyward Sword being a final sword duel, ALBW having you jump in and out of walls, BotW being a giant battle that takes place in the open with a sense of scale, etc.

The identity of TotK is the aerial aspect and the transitions from air to ground (and vice versa), so the final boss fight is probably going to have large-scale transitions between zones, and probably some crazy Fuse/Ultrahand setpieces.

For me i will definitely go check on Hateno and Kakariko villages and then head up for the desert probably to see my favorite tribe and the 7 Heroine thing.

But there will probably be some main quests thing to follow so that will probably change anyway. I think it was fairly important to follow the main quest a little in Botw or else you would have access and learn some stuff way later in your playthrought.

I also think it's funny how we went from "ugh at least we have sky islands and won't be much on Hyrule" to "i will explore hyrule first"

Oh, the trailer on NoA's YT crossed 8 million views.
Slowly reaching the amount the game will sell in the first three months :)

With such a huge install base and many people thirsting to revisit the BotW experience and all the positive word of mouth and excitement from the final trailer, the game will sell really well. I think it can match BotW in sales.

I think it's fake. If they upload another tweet though that shows the opening then put that into the spoiler thread and honestly, I'd put it in spoiler tags in that thread too.

Look guys look, Tour on the Switch! There's a controller and pencil in the screenshot so it must be real too!
Folks, these things are laughably easy to fake. Please don't fall for this stuff.

So it's real?

Time to leave internet i believe

No confirmation it's real, this is the exact kind of thing that's been faked before (game is loaded (supposedly) but the poster doesn't show anything).

Let's wait and see if anything shows up that proves this is real, until then it's safe to assume it's fake.

What a coincidence that many people post "I've seen pictures of people with the game in their hands, watch out" and nobody posts the picture of the game in their hands.

But well, it must be true. I mean, there is no reason why a twitter user would write a tweet that would be liked and retweeted by a fanbase that has been waiting for 4 years that could make the account viral...
