Silksong releasing in February is wild to me because I would think Team Cherry would want at least more time to market the game. Releasing in February is too damn quick.

I call bullshit otherwise Team Cherry would have said February a while back.
Eh, TC knows they can basically do what they want and have a massive audience day 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't know the release date until a week or so before (which I believe was the case with HK's PC release)

I still don't get the nvidia leak. Like, M+R2 and Bayo 3 were on there as well, but does it make any sense for them to be on there if Nintendo is involved by way of their IP or money respectively?
SMTV I kinda get, but also not, haha. Sure, UE4 makes it more likely for multiplat (aka Switch + PC), as we've seen before with other titles. But what about how Atlus generally treats multi-plat Persona & SMT policy wise? As in, old games yeah (P4G, SMT3), new(ish) games no (P5/R, SMTV???).
I wonder if there even is such a consistent line of thought there or it's just ... patterns, but we of all communities should know that those can be broken quite easily, haha.
Funnily enough the main holdup for SMT V on PC isn't actually the exclusivity for Nintendo, it's Atlus not understanding that multiplats exist

The fact with that leak is that it clearly has some real stuff on it and like nvidia itself said, some stuff that is likely speculative . All that really means is one can only wait and see what happens of it , otherwise it’s just gonna be folks picking and choosing what is or isn’t real based on biases and desires . still an interesting thing to look at but yeah.

To be fair none of the Nintendo game has a release date, according to the page linked above, SMTV has one.

The SMT V is bs because the usual big third-party exclusive has a minimum of 6 months of exclusivity. So I doubt it would be half of that. Most likely a placeholder.

Unless we get an announcement of both Persona and SMT releasing on PC lol.

Edit: Still would be funny to see SMT V release on PC and yet a old ass game like Persona 5 is still Playstation only lol.

SMTV coming to PC is more likely than P5(R) coming to PC because being a smaller IP Nintendo has less desire to keep it full exclusive than Sony does, and at the same time P5 on PS4 alone will more than double the NSW+PC sales of SMTV.

I mean, I'm good either way. As long as SMT is being designed and developed with Switch in mind, I couldn't care less about it being Switch timed exclusive, full exclusive, or multi with PC day one e.g.
I just don't get Atlus, but that's the case for most folks, I guess, lmao

If that was the case we would know precisely if Sony were putting money into Persona to keep it as an exclusive like we know about Final Fantasy for example. However, there is no proof of that case it's more Atlus being Atlus. Sony doesn't even care about Persona as much considering they barely market on their own. So I have massive doubt on this.

Is it possible there's some intern at Nvidea who just wants to see the world burn? I kind of get those Nintendo published games coming to PC might potentially be a thing, but FF9 Remake? Square remembering Chrono exists? Sure, buddy.

Still, I'm curious about how well a potential new SMT game would do on PC. Even if I don't count Nocturne for SMT audience it still did bad on PC.

It would sell the most on Switch in the end.

As believable as Square remembering Actraiser exists

This would be by far the biggest surprise to me.

Like why would Square make a remake of 9 and also when has Square cared about Chrono.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was on there with Nintendo listed as publisher too.

Chrono Cross remaster is slated for December according to the list, yet another thing that matches up perfectly with what the singer from Anúna said.

Still convinced all the Square-Enix games are real

or hell I'd take vague recollection

not everything is there because of the game coming to PC. some games are there because they're using nvidia's cloud tech during development.

“Yeah, so that actually happened about a year and half—it was just after the pandemic hit. Michael McGlynn got in touch and just said, ‘Listen, we’re writing music for a remake of a PlayStation game’—and he’s done that a lot, he’s done a lot of writing for different games that are very well known. But I’m actually not a gamer myself.

“So anyway, he says, ‘Look, it’s an Irish language piece that they’re looking for.’ So really what I was involved with was the lyric writing in the Irish language, and his daughter sang on the track and his wife arranged part of the choral parts, and so did Michael. And he also worked with me on the language side of things, so it was almost like a family effort.

“For ages I wasn’t allowed to really—you don’t know what you’re writing for, it’s all kind of undisclosed because they don’t want it to get out. So it’s actually going to be announced at Christmas—the name of the game. I have heard of it now and I have confirmed it is a big game, which is great! It’s going to be an Irish language piece in the game, which is brilliant.”
On August 30, Procyon Studio (Yasunori Mitsuda’s music label) tweeted an image of a remote recording with Mitsuda, Michael McGlynn, and McGlynn’s daughter Aisling.

The tweet reads: “Today’s recording is with Aisling, the daughter of Michael McGlynn (ANUNA). We took a photo before it started. Aisling will sing and Michael will direct. I was so excited before it even began!”
Yasunori Mitsuda was the composer for 2 Playstation titles: Xenogears and Chrono Cross

ok, let me know when it's done so we can remove the poll :)
Get that poll out of here!

(yes I DID do 02 instead of 2… for now…)

EDIT: I changed it to “ST2” from “ST02.” Maybe this will be the next poll?

I think we should make a poll on wether this thread should have more polls, right now.
If successful, we can then decide on the topic of the next poll in tomorrow's poll.

Sounds good?

Me too, but the dates seem to be mere placeholders. What excites me the most is an AA remake of Final Fantasy 9. I'd want something in the caliber of Trials of Mana, not uber looking like FF7. But I reckon even a smaller scale remake would take some serious time to make, I'd gladly take FFT and Chrono Cross remasters until then.

Welp, I'm off to get my Covid booster and then it's probably a night of ramen, Age of Calamity, shitty anime, and complaining about soreness in my arm.

It's weird to see y'all talking about winter and low temperatures when I'm in shorts and a t-shirt and the high today was 84F (29C).

I know, it being marked as the first day of December suggests it may be dropping in December but the exact day isn't known. It being a remaster I can easily see them dropping it shortly after announcement like they did with Actraiser.
